Anyone know if the
official Indiana Jones gunbelt, holster, and pistol package will include a close enough replica of the Webley or S&W
:
I haven't seen any other pictures yet, but wouldn't it be cool to finally have a "cheap" Webley or S&W replica right under our noses

Considering that the set is
a. "official"
b. Rubies
c. $13
my guess is the pistol is "close enough" in the sense that it is somewhat revolver-ish at best. I could be wrong, but I'd be very surprised if it wasn't just one of the pistols they sell with their police/gangster/cowboy outfits.

I'm not expecting much, either, I'm just curiously remaining [somewhat] optimistic

I thought the same thing, maybe they got the molds from the Disneyworld Japan gun. That didn't look too bad.

The fact that they're not
showing the gun in that promotional photo is probably a good indication of it's quality.

If Todd's doesn't restock their holsters in time for Halloween, I might have to.

Well, it looks like we can rest easy, and it's safe to say that Rubies can't do anything right

I think Rubies has somehow gotten the idea that Indiana Jones starred in a Wild West show.

Unfortunately, I have to say I can appreciate this. It's not something I'd buy, but seeing the indiana jones sticker on that colorful plastic gun just reminds me of some of the toys I got at the grocery store as a child. They never had much of anything to do with whatever was endorsing it, but the sticker (ninja turtles, ghostbusters, etc.) just made it cool anyway. The little POS brings back happy memories

You know, I've wondered what the set would end up looking like. I knew it would be bad, but I had no idea it would be this bad. It's like they're not even trying.
