I did not make this one...but here is a Florida Cow Whip

The handle is extraordinarily heavy...like tearing a leg off the kitchen table and attaching a thong to it.
Ok not that bad, but almost.

They're all roo's and most are pretty Indy-ish, but the 8 foot black one is nice. It was made with a lighter skin than what I normally use and the resulting whip is a bit of a lighter whip, but still very fluid and fun to throw.

Hi,

As far as I know most popular place where for whipboxing is Australia.
We got our own whipboxing tourments

in Poland, heere is a video http://kiscienwhips.knives.pl/index.html. I can't find more photos, but if you want here: http://www.whips.pl/forum/index.php/top ... 7.150.html you can see "First Poland Whipcompetition" and you got one from whipboxing too.

More about whipboxing you will find here http://www.aussiewhipmaker.com/WhipBoxing.htm. There was a page whipboxing.com but it's no longer exist

Rules in short:
- you need to hit oponent in face, which is worth 1 point.
- person who first take 3 points, win.
- you need to have to whips. They are tangle many times, it saves time, when we have new whips, and somoby try to untangle the old one

I think kooniu, or someone who knows rules better or maybe he fights sometimes could tell you more, maybe gives some more links.

And I got two 3,5 ft stock whips one 5 ft stock and new 10 ft with 12 in handle bullwhip. When I will have, I will attach photos.

Here's my 10 ft 4-plait whip that was made in my country Mexico. As you may guess i can't do any tricks with it but at least it cracks.

Here's a pair of "non-indy" bullwhips that I use in my show:

They were made by Paul Nolan and I love them. I highly recommend Paul's bullwhips!

DJN, those are sweet looking black whips.

I haven't even recieved my first real* whip yet and I'm already planning out my collection... I think my next one will be a 16 plait black whip. Then comes the stock whip. ANd by then, I'll get a matched pair of shorties for
two handed work.

My sword collection is going to suffer, isn't it? Maybe I should start writing westerns instead of fantasy (though I do have one whip weilding hero

)

*I grew up cracking various cow hide whips, but my first roo hide whip is on it's way.

These are traditional Mexican whips:

A chirrion (whip with a wooden handle and tapered rope thong):

A chicote (flexible whip from end to end, made of braided rope):

A chicote I made using wall knots... (Erick, here's the whip I talked to you about):

I'll post a picture of an old rawhide bullwhip I have, but that will have to be later.

Here is my Snake Whip. Just won it on ebay. It's a cowhide 4 footer. Looks like it's pretty well made but we'll see when I get it!!

Ok, so it's a pic of my Strain from Joe's website. But what the hay! After 3 falls and hundreds of crackers later, it looks exactly like it. And plus, Joe is a better photographer than me! Had it for a year now and crack it almost every day for an hour or so. Thanks Joe!

and here I have one more precious thing. An english hunting whip
with a brass handle and a stitched keeper.

It's from Victor SanSoucie's workshop.

It's something total contrary to the classic Indy whip, and it shows
what a far land the whip world really is. I'll post more whips by time.

Here's a 6 ft. Stockwhip by Joe Strain that I recently received. The color is whiskey, and it's a beautiful whip. I'll post more about in its own thread shortly.

the greens ones were made by Mike Murphy there 16 strand and 6 feet, they belong to my wife who used them at the Annie oakly days in Ohio a few years back learning whipcracking.
