Well......I haven't finished upgrading my gear yet but to date, my Fed IV is my favorite. I still have a Todd's jacket and bag strap coming. I also have a metal airsoft SW replica on the way too so I may change my opinion soon.

The boots. Easily one of the most practical items....I do love the whips though.

My Fed III (don't have a IV yet) :( And maybe my MK VII, because of it's historical value/significance and the fact that I use it quite often.

My screen accurate, black socks.

Seriously though, I'd say my Aldens.
I use them for work and they're brilliant.

If I lived in a place where I could wear my Wested year-round, it probably would be my favorite. However since Tennessee seasons these days are Spring, Summer, Summer and Spring, I would have to say my favorite is the MKVII. I carry it all over and it keeps my hands free.

What ever fedora I have out in my rotation. That's what I wear year round. My boots are a close second....then one of my jackets in the rotation.

You're not kidding JJones. It's been a weird couple of years, hasn't it? :?

My favorite... that's my AB. The most used, though, is my WPG replica bag.

Without a doubt my G&B goatskin expo. It's 105 in So Cal right now and I'm still wearing it. That's devotion. Or insanity. But, hey, it needs some natural distressing and good old sweat should provide that!

In second place is my WPG original MK VII with deluxe strap from Todd's. I'm a shoulderbag kind of guy, having carried one kind or another daily for over 20 years now. The MK VII is not the best I've every used, but it's got that Indy charm.

I've got a Fed IV on order as well as a pair of 405s, so my gear favorites might change in a week or so, but we'll see. That G&B jacket is just a beauty!

It's hard to pick just one. I really enjoy wearing one of my Fedoras (I'm down to one brown beaver AB and one gray AB, while my AB Deluxe is being size adjusted), but today with temps expected to be at least 113 F (45 C) I chose a straw one. The stag handle Hubertus knife is typically in my pants pocket, and I use the WPG repo bag with Todd's strap daily as well, although I also wish that I had a larger bag or backpack many times.

With the future of most of the USA predicted to increase in heat and drought in the near future, I plan on wearing a hat daily and carrying drinking water every where I go. Arizona is number 2 in the world for skin cancer, so I follow my dead dad's and doctor's advice to wear a hat when outside. I just had the dermotologist remove two small skin damaged spots on my forehead and ear. I know I'm paying to price of exposure many years ago, but I try not to add to that any more that I need to. Therefore, the hat will probably be my favorite over time.

First instinct was the hat, but after a little thought, I'd have to say my boots.

My Aldens are the most comfortable shoes I've owned in a long time. I think about gel inserts sometimes, but only if I've had to walk a few miles.

I'm new to this and still don't have a Wested Jacket or HJ fedora. So my favorite piece of gear right now is my original Mark VII bag. I picked it up off of ebay and it is near perfect...no rot, no smells, all internal compartments...heck it even has the tie off strings. Definetly worth the money.

Being from southeastern KY, I have to agree with you two. I'm going to have to invent some kind of ice suit so I can wear my jacket more often.

For me the best gear item is the shirt. The reason is that it's a great shirt that you can wear all year long. My second best is the jacket because it can be worn only in the winter.

The reason I choose those instead of hat, pants etc is because they dont attract strange people looking.

Boots also don't but I don't own them yet.

I would have to say my favorite piece, so far, is my Fed IV. I love it. Once my Aldens come in, they will probably replace the hat as my favorite piece.

I would have to say my Fed IV, since it has been too hot to wear the jacket much yet. It keeps the sun of my head when I'm mowing the grass  Except this drought doesn't leave much to mow
