That is a very good looking holster. Here is a pic of my Todd's standard for comparison. The Keppler has a few more details.

Brad,

That's a great looking holster! Lee certainly does amazing work. And his holsters are made to carry revolvers and function as real holsters, not costume pieces. I love my Keppler because it's the longer version, which holds my S&W Model 22 with the stock 5 1/2" barrel.

Here's a comparison pic of three of my different holsters. They're all great in their own way, but this photo shows the differences in design, construction, and leather.

Thanks all. The best thing about this holster is that the leather feels like butter but is very firm and "built" to last.

I have a Todd's, dream of an AB, and now the Keppler is very tempting. I like the darker shade.

I have an AB and love it....but I will always have a warm spot for the Keppler.

His was the first, and it was patterned directly from one of the original holsters that Lee had access to back in the mid 80's when he ran his own holster company.....so it's a lot closer to the original 'source' than you realize.

It was the first one I ever reviewed and personally handled, and built by a gun owner to carry real revolvers.

Just a great package, and with a true history in this hobby.

Regards! Michaelson

About 6-7 days. I live only about 60 miles from Lee, but he had it shipped in about 6 days and it arrived the next day after he sent it.

Well I just fell of the fence, now that I see that the Keppler fits the 5.5 S&W (which I happen to be saving for) and as Michaelson stated it was modeled after actual raiders gear, which I now remember hearing from Lee (thx for joggin the grey matter M).

Bottomline.... I'm out 80 bucks

I can actually hear my wallet & credit cards cry out in agony when I log in here.....

Interesting to see the three different interpretations of the end of the fastening strap. I wonder which is most SA. Or is this just an illusion caused by the end curling towards the camera? :?

Well since Lee's was copied from a screen used original and is made by a real holster maker, my vote for most accurate would have to go to him. I'm looking forward to getting one.

Spoke with Lee on the phone yesterday to get the ordering info for his
4" standard ROTLA holster. Very nice guy - lookin' forward to getting my
holster in a couple of weeks ( hopefully before my buddies go to the range! ) :junior:

I spoke to Lee last Sunday to ask if he could make one in LH for one of my S&W Model 28's. While I'm not into the SA thing like many of you are, I came across this site searching for full flap leather holsters. As a big fan of Indiana Jones and the movies, I've been having a ball reading here. The full flap holster is a better way to carry a firearm into the field and I wanted to carry something other than one of my 1911's all the time.

BTW, Lee is going to make the holster for me.

I still think and believe the Keppler is THE most accurate raiders holster out there. And if it weren't for my darn location I had gotten one already. But the call / pay by check thing doesn't work for me :(

Congrats on that beaut though :D  8)
