Foldable Indy hat?

Post by Indiana Strones »

I'm looking for a foldable indyesque hat. Not SA, of course, but something close enough or similar. Any help?

I'm not sure that "crushable" is the same that "foldable". I fear crushable is just "you-can-crush-it-without-damage". Or not?? An english language help, please!

CHRISTYS' FOLDAWAY!

Here: http://www.hornetshats.com/f_hatview.ph ... ur%20Felts

One half the price of Stateside retailers, even with the enfeebled USD.

Or this Lagomarsino Crushable fur felt http://www.firststreetleather.com/store ... 14d2s.html

I took one of these from here to China (literally) and it held up great. I find the both Akubras the Traveller & Casual to be too tapered and the Borsalino just too expensive!

Check out the Indiana Jones fedoras from Cabela's.

I personally own the wool version and I'd say it's quite nice for a forty-dollar wool fed. cloth sweatband, bound brim edge with a support wire, cream-colored satin liner, and of course the obligatory Indiana Jones hatpin. I've never handled the fur version, so i can't comment on it. either would certainly fit your requirements of an Indy-esque packable hat.

Crushable generally means you can roll it up too. This is because these sort of portable hats are made of wool, and it's near impossible to reshape them anyways. Another option are panama hats, as some come with a crease down the center that literally allows you to fold them in half.

Here's my two cents, sure you can find it elsewhere for cheaper. I just like the demo that shows how to fold it.

Hey, no more hats for you. Can't you see that you've got enough on order already?

Okay, I tried. Hypocritical of me since there's at least 4 more hats besides my Fed that I want to buy.

Try http://www.uswings.com for the best price on the crushable fedora. $32 is a pretty nice price!
