Good for you. Ron makes some nice looking whips and your right, a well made nylon whip is fun, and easy, to crack.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!
I am pretty proud of these whips.
I set out to make a whip that fans would be happy with, handle respctably, and would stand up to all kinds of abuse...ridiculous amounts of it...I think I have accompished that at least.
Thanks again for the high praise!

I received my paracord 8' brown bullwhip from Ron today. Looks just like the one shown above.

Took it out to the backyard and after 10 minutes of swinging, I started getting soft pops, then some nice cracks when I put my hips into it :) I'm sure my form is terrible (though it looks Indyish :P but WOW, was it fun!

I must second (third and fourth) the call for mandatory EYE protection! For newbie whip crackers, that fall and cracker move extremely fast and the whip can easily bounce right into your face. I even did some nice, albeit unintentional, wraps of my legs and head :)

This has been a VERY fun hobby so far, if I'm still enjoying myself in a year I'll be picking up some of those custom roo-hide whips. But for the price, this nylon whip seems to be a nice way to get into the sport, particularly in my damp climate. Thanks Ron!
