Like is there a tag inside that says "size 59"?
In some ways that would be kind of tacky but maybe it's standard what do I know..
Do ABs or Akubras display the size?

And t'other way round
Remembering that an Akubra/Stetson/brand-hat is likely destined for a B&M where there are dozens of hats differing only in size. So not printing the size inside would lead for far more confusion and more damage to the hats (due to repetitive handling). A custom goes to the buyer- often with the initials or name permanently on the sweatband. The hat maker will have your size on file for your next purchase. Leaving the hat size in an Akubra etc is optional but could help the hat retain some of its value for re-sale (heresy!).Alan wrote:Custom hats are not made to standard sizes because they're, well, custom. That's why Steve has you give him a measurement and Art Fawcett actually sends a halo conformer to you for sizing.
