I'm sure someone further up the list will claim that last "flawed" webley, but if for some reason they don't....that sort of thing won't bother me. As long as it is serviceable.

Rook,
I'd take that other "flawed" one if it's not spoken for.
Just let me know. Just be advised I'm in Afghanistan so don't get to check email every day. (pretty close though)
Thanks.

Sorry Mate, it's been claimed. But thanks for the interest!

I have 5 ready to go, two are to people who've paid already, and I'll be PMing payment info to the others on the list. Just received my AL powder the other day, so pretty quick I'll be getting started on the next set.

I forgot how much time the fitting and final assembly really takes up. Test fit, adjust, test fit, adjust... :)

got mine safe and sound. i had a little scare with a tracking message saying that customs didn't accept it and that they were going to return to sender....then it went through for some reason....thank god :D

good god russ, you do fine work my friend. this piece is showcase quality and worthy of a 'master replicas' tag imo.

i am quite impressed my friend.

cheers,

Whew (x2). I'm glad you got her okay Indiana G. I've had friends get airsoft guns bounced back (or just seized and destroyed), so I'm understandably concerned when shipping to Canada.

Glad you like it!

Honored to be added to the list

Post by Highlander »

Hey Rook:

I'd be NUTS not to jump on the Rook train to Webley goodness!

(1) Shipping to Canada. If possible, like you did with G's shipment to Canada, declared as a 'Plastic Resin Movie Prop' with a letter to Customs included in the package stating that it is just a model kit.

(2) Light weathering

(3) Magic over brass front sight

(4) Drilled barrel, but hopefully unassembled, so it doesn't make Customs nervous?

Thanks!

Got mine but didn't wear it to the premier as planned due to where I was going to see the movie. This thing rocks! Thanks for a great run. I'd take pix but I'm currently all packed up for the move I'm doing in the AM.

I would have to say that the Rook version far exceeds a logo of Master Replica. I would not want to put his Webley WG in any class of junk that Master Replica makes or should I say Not Quite Replicas (NQR)....

Just my opinion! Rook's replica is WAY better! :D

It's "currently" an ongoing run. I think I'm going to cap the run at a maximum 50 guns because I'm not certain the moulds will even last that long. Of course I'm being optimistic. :)

I'll likely have the moulds remastered when they get to the "We. Are going. To die." point, but I need to decide if I'll keep doing them the current fashion with all the moving parts, or go the mostly solid cast route instead.

Time will tell I guess.

Well, if they were metal... they'd cost a lot more. :D

They're cold cast (Aluminum impregnated resin).

Just treat it carefully (Like a real revolver) and all will be well! It's quite tough, but treat them with respect.

Hey Rook!

Feeling your pain...my wife and I have been down with the same kind of bug for the past while. She's still feeling crappy after having it for almost 10 days now and it seems to come and go for me.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

@AS: Glad you got it okay!

To everyone else (new people and old) I'm capping the current run at 50 guns.

Why? Because I'm not certain the current moulds will last even that long. They tend to start breaking down at about 20 castings which requires more cleanup, etc.

I hope to get back to it this week. I'm "finishing" a non-Indy video project that has been months in the making, so after that's out of my hair I should be able to get back to it in ernest.

Thanks to everyone for all the interest!

Thanks K! I'm happy you like it!

Just to recap, the run is now closed at 50 guns. Sorry to those who have just arrived, but I won't be accepting any more names until the current list has been whittled down.

Second: PLEASE don't send payment until I contact you for it!
I just had to issue a refund for somone who actually wasn't even on the list! And like most hobby prop makers... I don't like giving the monies back! :D

But I'm not going to keep the money when I don't have anything ready (or nearly ready) to ship. I'm funny like that.

Big thanks again to everyone who's participating!

Well, if they don't last they can always be remade I guess. :)

I had a coworker offer to help out, so I may take him up on the offer if we can find a day when neither of us are working. Tough one though as he works as much as I do between two jobs. :)

Again, thanks for all the interest everyone!

There's been an opening in the run.

I need to know if Zendragon or Chevalierkrak would mind being moved into the #14 spot.

Anzac, I know you don't since you already have a numbered holster to match your Webley. :D

Post here to let me know. Thanks!

No. It's solid cast as is the hammer. I suppose you could cut it out and fabricate something from bar stock AL. Seems like a fair amount of work to me. I did that with my scratch built "water pistol" S&W.

Not dead, just stalled at the moment. I need to order another pressure pot and I've been selling about 85% of all my big props/costumes to cut down on bills. No more Ghostbusters, Robocop, Starship Troopers, etc.... Keeping my Indy stuff though. :)

Add removing wallpaper into that... yeah, I've been busy. :)

I "hope" to get back to it soon. Sorry for the delays everyone, I know how patient you've all been.

Well, look at it this way, at least I haven't taken any money! :)

Small consolation, I know.
