Cool.

I do have one gripe with the video though...it implies that you made the jacket that they used in crystal skull and doctor who when that isn't the case. Still, should give you a new flood of business.

As your picture is of David Tennant so I was with him and Catherine Tate at BBC Wales a few weeks ago when I was fitting a new jackets to one of the Dr Who actors.

I know I see were you are comming but we are not sure how much Wested had contributed towards the blue print for the CS jacket even though someone else eventually got the contract?
Peter, was your design being taken up and copied for CS?

I made the LC jackets. The remit for the CS was to make an exact copy of the Archive LC jacket they had and I was sent detailed measurments and pictures by Bob, Bernie's RH man.
I supplied two jacket, two pants & two shirts for CS all of which were used to make copies for the film.
Furthermore it was my trousers, shirt and jackets appearing in the initial photos and video release for the film. So I think I have the right to copy my own jacket which is in CS.

Thankyou Peter,
You have as much if not more claim to the maker of CS as those whose gears eventually made it to the cinema. So they were copied from your design so they can make more on location because they wont film elsewhere outise the US it gone to a local manfacturer to do the copying. I am getting the picture.

Peter, is this jacket, shirt and pants supllied by Wested?

Ok sorry Peter. I wasn't aware of the specifics of what went into the CS jacket pre-production and just assumed it was Nowak alone that had a claim on the CS jacket.

It certainly makes me more itnerested in the wested CS jacket =P

I believe this might be the first Indy 4 photo that was released taken by Spielberg on the set. Is that a Wested shirt and pants he is wearing?

Yes that is my shirt and pants I am 99.9 pc certain.
That video cannot be downloaded but I hope to have the full version on my web as soon as I get it.
Oh and Aussie, apologies accepted you were not to know waht goes on behind the scenes as most times it has to a secret, with threats of castration and other nasty sweets if you dont toe the line.
In the longer vertion you may see GEMMA packing your jackets.
Cheers

Thanks again Peter,
You are not sure about the jackets on those pictures?

Since the shirts and pants were taken on set while filming then it is more than likely they have appeared in CS at least in some footages.

Those shirt and pants look exactly like the Wested shirt and pants I'm wearing right now. :D Great job, Mr. Botwright. Your store looks the same since I've last visited in January. But, I've never seen a bird's eye view of it so that news footage was refreshing. I'm thinking of ordering a CS jacket in the future and maybe visiting you again.

Awesome Peter! I wish you all the success you deserve! To me, as the original Indy Jacket maker, you'll always be THE Indy jacket maker. Anyone else's is just a copy. I'm glad I have my Wested!

The shirt looks thicker in the Hanger scene than it does later on. Anyone else see this?

Peter, are you implying that you had a jacket in the move too or just for a photo?

O'Grady

Post by taikonaut »

Paul O'Grady Show on thursday had the host wearing Indy gear, did anyone see that? It was supplied by Wested and here is the news article.

O'Grady use to live near me in Birkenhead just before he left for the south to star in his own chat show.

Peter,

since there is at this time no one offering replica's of the CS trousers and shirts. Would you do that ? Since you provided Bob with a pair?

I think there are a lot of people searching for those 2 items right now :D
