Were the OTHER Fedoras in KOTCS Adventurebilts as well?

Post by Castor Dioscuri »

Just out of curiousity, since we do see other characters with fedoras in KotCS (without spoiling anything, we see a couple black fedoras, a white fedora, etc) on some of the 'main' actors, can we assume that Steve and Marc had a hand in making them as well? I am rather curious about knowing this one! ;)

All we made were Indy's and his stunt double's hats. We worked for the guy who was Harrisons costume designer, and as far as I know, that was his only job. I guess they had other folks covering the other costumes and hats. Fedora

No. I was an extra in New Haven. The fedoras on the extras were vintage 50s fedoras sourced out of a rental agency in LA. The clothes for the extras were also all vintage original pieces.

Must be a souvenir for life, being in the movie! So, do we actually get to see You in any of the scenes? (I saw it two days ago and I'm going to see it again tomorrow...)

I noticed Indy's friend in college had a hat with a folded and sewn brim edge. Maybe a wool hat. The guy behind (or in front of?) Indy on the train had a nice hat.

I did notice that hat, the one behind Indy on the train. I quite liked it, but it was upstaged by the AB, naturally.

The other prof had a nice closeup on his late 50's stingy bim. The one on the train behind indy looked like an Open Road style.

There was a scene where Indy and Mutt ride by a kid at the college who is dressed sort of like indy with a brown hat and a cotton jacket.

Any specs available yet on the grey AB "traveling fedora"?
i.e. crown height, brim dimensions etc?

Yes, actually. When Harrison gets on the train you see some people get on behind him. I'm the last one on and my reddish hair gives me away. Then when Shia rides by I step back off into the wake of the motorcycle and stare after him (towards the camera).
