I have to wonder what the thinking is here for Sideshow. Anybody know anything about this. I am huge spender at Sideshow, but this is not their style to me.

It is sort of odd for Sideshow to sell something like this. I guess the 100% beaver fedora is a collector's item and they are vendors of collector's items. Still, this is odd. Not their style at all. Oh, well. I'll just wait for my exclusive 12'' Indy.

Ya know, I tried polishing one once, and you're right, they don't polish well...at all. I agree that this is a strange offering from Sideshow. Have they offered these types of items for any other movies?

I didn't say it was worth the money or that it was even a quality product, just that it is a collector's piece. I agree with you polish and turn comment.

Wow...that ribbon was sewn on by a blind monkey.

I remember when these used to be sold at Sears like way back when...maybe they weren't 100% beaver, but they had the same stupid shape.

Who would pay that much for that...that's what I wanna know.

Well, apparently Europe is eating these up because Sideshow's European sector has the beaver hats on backorder. Hopefully those that flushed their money down the toilet will find COW before their order ships and are able to cancel their order.

Absolutely the most blatant misuse of the word "handcrafted" that I have ever seen. Pathetic...whoever wrote the product description needs to do some flippin' research and find out what "handcrafted" actually means when it comes to making hats. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't this hat simply a factory dorfman with a factory blockshape and just some nice pure beaver felt driving up the insane price-tag?

I mean, let's get real here...That's practically an AB Deluxe....For a Dorfman!

And my wife thought I was crazy for wanting an AB....

I can hear it now in some house in a suburb of America...

"But honey...It's a $400 'Indiana Jones' collector pin...And you get a $100 fedora with it!!!"

 Obtuseness is my strength!! :-k (sorry)

Seriously, the sideshow site also has Indy and related "dolls" or action figures. The one of Indy in LC looks exactly like Magnoli's avatar (again, meant as a compliment)! :-
