This attachment contains four shots of my jacket. :D
This is a standard Wested LC in authentic brown lambskin (size 40R).
It has undergone a great deal of self distressing and color change, the system of which, I shall be discussing at a later date at the appropriate catagory.
Although the jacket looks quite good at present, upon receiving it, I must confess to being rather disappointed with the color, weight and leather quality. It seemed somehow sinthetic to me, and I regret not ordering a regular lambskin, but I've got it looking pretty good now, so, s'cool!
One or two of you experts might point out that it's a little too long in the body - about 1 1/2" I'd say.
Cheers all,
JTW.

Your jacket is looking really good. It may be little long as you pointed out, but it is not bad by any means. I think a good judge of length for the Last Crusade jacket is a comparrison of where the jacket lies in relation to your back pants pocket flaps. The scenes on the beach with the birds has some good reference. Really sharp jacket, and nice weathering. Enjoy it.

Yeah, great distressing job! I like what you've done on the sleeves! Also, the leather looks really nice looking to me. I think you have a fine jacket there, Jones.

That's a nice jacket!

I can't give an opinion on your comments since I don't have an LC jacket.

By the way...the trousers you re wearing...are they a first generation Wested??

Thanks

Thanks for the comments folks.
To answer the question, the pants are recently bought from IndyMagnoli.
They are 100% wool in camel (also very beach n' birds) .

I completely disagree!!! I think the body length is perfect. Look at the film again, his jacket is not waist length! It extends at least 4 inches below his belt line.

PS. that is one of the best LC distressing jobs I've seen! Well done

Thanks once again,
it is very much appreciated. :D
On this forum, one strides to be as accurate as possible, especially when posting pics. To be honest, it's taken about 5 months of careful distressing, to get the jacket to look reasonable.
I think the secret is to know exactly what you want before you begin, and, like an artist working on a canvas, you have to know when enough is enough.
If you trust your decision making skills, you will instinctively know when that time comes. GO FOR IT!!

You're distressing actually looks terrific. That is the best LC I've seen, I don't know about anybody else. Though you are right, the body is a bit too long, but other than that congrats on such a good looking LC.

Many thanks, I hope to take some more detailed pics of the main distressed areas, and post them in the 'care and distressing' section. These will be accompanied with the process information. :D

I have to agree with the above comments - the jacket and distressing look fantastic! It looks like the jacket I wished I got when I ordered my first Wested over ten years ago. :) I too am a very big fan of the LC jacket/gear. Hopefully you can post some info about the distressing process soon? Cheers!
