My New JPD Fedora!!! Photos added 5/10/08

Post by gabrielle »

All I can say is Now This Is A Hat!!! Very nice color, the crease is beautiful and it fits like a glove. I love my JPD fedora... :D :D :D :D :D

I will post pics when I get the chance, but just know this hat is really kick ###.

Sorry mods...but I am so loving my new fedora.

:whip: :whip: :whip:

Thanks Jimmy. Very beautiful hat and the wait time was minimal. I received the hat when I got home from work today.

Congrats gabrielle, knew you were going to be getting your hat soon. Maybe I should check up on Jimmy and see if my hat is going to be coming soon as well. Can't wait to see some pics, that is probably why no one else has posted so far. What hat is that in your avatar by the way?? Got a nice bash on that one. Enjoy your hat.

Thanks AC I promise to post pics as soon as I find some time.

Thanks Chris, the Jimmy Pierce is heaven. Great color, ribbon and bash. Just what I asked for when I ordered. The avatar is my Keppler in a Raven Bar bash. I think Raven Bar is my favorite aside from Cairo, but I'm saving that for my AB. :)

Gabrielle, please take some pics for us! :)
Well my patience is starting to fail, but not really. I will give him a call tomorrow or wednesday and see what is going on as far as status wise.

gabrielle, I am sure Jimmy's hat looks amazing. That's your Keppler hat in your avatar...very nice, nice bash again, having a little trouble messing with the bash in my Magnoli HJ, so soft. I got the pinch pretty much where I want it, just the sides have been giving me a little trouble. Again have to agree with AC quote there, you gotta take some pics for us of your new hat. :D Looking forward to seeing them.

Optimism, AC! Maybe most of those 60 will post when the pics go up.

Meanwhile, I have to say that all this JP activity suggests an upswing I did not expect.

What exactly, AC are we supposed to say? He loves his hat. There are no photos as of this post. Good for him!

Otherwise, there's not a whole lot to comment on yet. :-s

At the time of this posting, there are 69 views and only 4 comments (none of them particularly positive either) on this newly received Wested WITH photos.

Gabrielle,

I'm glad you like your hat. it's hard to describe, isn't it, just how robust the hats are. Is yours rabbit or beaver?

In the few weeks I've had mine, it has settled into my head shape just fine, like a glove, just as you describe.

Again, congrats. I' look forward to some pictures. :D

How can a hat fit like a glove? Does that mean a glove can fit like a hat?

Point is exactly that - Just want to see how it looks. No pressure to have to sell the thing in the process.
My point was he probably wants to also show that it is a good hat and in the process give a thumbs up to the hat maker, you could also look at it from the perspective of giving some support to the JPD business as well. That's how I look at it at least, when I take the trouble to post a photo of a hat or whatever it may be, I am giving credence to the capability of a certain vendor. That's what you do when you post here, whether intended or not, I think it is mostly a nice side note, but that's probably a given...I never looked at it as something involving pressure or stress...back to the main topic at hand.... :)

Ok here are the photos. I really love this hat. I can't explain how, but every day I put it on it looks better and feels better on my head like it's shaping itself to my head. Also that white stuff on the top is dust from behind the nurse's station desk where my hat fell the other day. I decided to leave it since I don't care if it's mussed up. The liner is a beautiful blue/purple with white in the middle and Jimmy's crest with 2 yellow roses. I'll add another photo later.

Finally, Beautiful hat gabrielle. :D I got a hold of Jimmy, he said mine would be done wednesday or thursday. So either the 14th or the 15. :D That is an awesome hat, I can't wait to get mine. Hopefully should be here before the premiere. Thanks for sharing these long anticipated pictures of your hat.

Very nice hat!

Interesting that your liner is purple...mine's green. Did you ask for that color? And is this beaver or rabbit?

Sincerely,

Hi Brian, mine is a rabbit. The liner came that way I didn't request it, but it's very nice.

I'll be ordering my AB beaver on the 21st, just under the price increase deadline!

Beautiful hat...how do you order your hat? using the web site ?
I tried many times to order a hat at jimmy because I really appreciate his work but (living in Kenya) it's difficult from my country to have a reply !
I hope to have one day the possibility! :?
A paypal possibility of payment will be welcome!

No Jimmy creased it for me. I think I'll try my hand at bashing with a new Fed IV though. Can't be that hard to get a decent look...

ANJALI - I contacted Jimmy by phone and paid by phone giving him my credit card info.
