Hi all,
Some folks had asked me to put up a pic or two of my personal lid "Lucky 13" which I have never rain and stain treated or cleaned apart from brushing. Yes, I abuse that one, so I know the ones you get are tough enough.
Without further fondue:
This is added for comparison to the screen used HJ owned by our friend Desi which I promised in my post in Desi's thread
And with the second photo (now my Avatar), anyone who can do a really creative Indy themed Photoshop background, etc. with it, will get free shipping on a Camptown whenever you order one, all other sales aside.
Thanks all
JJ

That hat looks great given all the abuse you put it through. I have no doubt about your being able to withstand what i'm going to put it through. I just can't wait to get my own now.

Well the verdict is in and He's put that hat through a real, "Trial"
and it holds up very well.

Thanks much. I actually wore it in an ice storm in 2007 and it was soaked through and frozen. Not part of my plan, but she held up pretty well.
N-joy !

Once again, I deliberately maltreated the whole hat to test it. The ribbon was no different. Ribbons are replaceable on any hat. I am doing mine now.
If you care for the hat as you should, and not torture test it, the ribbon will hold up well.

Try that abuse with a Dork Pac and see if you get a little more than some warpage and fading on the ribbon.
Not to mention what is left of the felt.

The lid looks great Ken!
It has that '40 miles of bad road' look. Very cool! Just confirms what I've been saying, one tough lid.
And yes, "one should never dally with a Sicilian."
Cheers!

Ken, I was hoping to catch you online! I wanted to know if you have any 7 1/8 long ovals available? Also my size is 22.5" if that works better, but still long oval.

Okay, I've voted....its a TIE !
Mola ram's Cairo Rooftops is eerily realistic. I love that. And Nobody's Logoed one just warms my heart. I feel like a Character in the Saga !
You both have free shipping coming to you on this one ! Be sure to email me at
camptownhats@yahoo.com to remind me.
and no, the contest isn't over, I love all of these submissions a lot, and here is my new rule:
If you can do a background for me and post it here before APRIL 20, 2008, you will get free ground shipping in the USA.
Sound Good ?

I agree! They were the two best.
The moment I saw the Cairo skyline post, I knew my Petra shot didn't stand a chance.
