Indy style t-shirt..Just an idea

Post by swcrazyfan »

I was sitting playing around with illustrator and I though of an idea. Wouldn't it be cool if there was a t shirt that had the Indy shirt design on the front that you could wear around casually.

Here is a mock up I made in photoshop.

Tell me what you guys think.

That's cool. I always wanted one that had the jacket, shirt and bagstrap on it similar to those "tuxedo" shirts that were popular once upon a time.

WOWWWW thats an awesome idea. DEF make a version with the actual bag on the left side of the shirt too along with the strap.

The company Junk Food clothing makes alot of shirts like this. They do Star Wars ones too. My friends have a shirt thats boba fets armor front and back. Another one is chewie, another is a X wing pilot. The one i bought is darth vader, with the chest box and shoulder armor. Only thing is the vader is just black on back sicne he wears a cape.

We should really look into making some of these. If we can find a shirt maker who can do a full print for the front and back that would be awesome. If not ill contact junk food about getting one made! :D

Actualy indakin, that was my original basis for my idea of making an indy style shirt.

My friend owns a t-shirt screening business and I do adobe illustrator designing, so please wait on contacting any companies about this project yet.

This seems like something that many fans would enjoy wearing. :)

I am working on a shirt design right now. I'll post it when i'm done.

Cool idea, but I don't think I would sport the t-shirt, but how about some type of can coozie...maybe a MKVII coozie?

it would need the bag strap , but i think ultimately, NOONE but a gearhead would have any idea what it was meant to be...

A non-gearhead would probably figure it's a tribute to Steve Irwin ;)

Awesome responses! I've thought about this for years and it seems there is a demand! The ultimate "budget" Indygear! Remember to have the gloves hanging out of one of the cargo pockets! Maybe a couple of Tarantulas on the back? ;)

This vintage Halloween costume was my inspiration. Perhaps this will help with the development.

The tarantulas are a good idea. Maybe it ought to be a brown, long-sleeve t-shirt with the front screen printed tan with the shirt, chest and bag strap details added. If you want to go hog-wild, how about the bullwhip coiled around the shoulder?

Nice work PBG. Maybe show a little of the web belt, and pants though since the jacket is longer than the shirt. Also, throw 'da gloves in there why dontcha? ;)

Wow that's great! How practical. This would have saved me a ton of money on gear and would have been a hit at pajama parties too

Suggestion: You could just make the t-shirt a v-neck and show off everybody's OWN chest hair (or lack thereof - which isn't necessarily a diss)!!

Wouldn't it be better without the jacket? Indy was jacketless a lot of the time plus it would allow more details of other gear - whip, gun, bag, etc. to be shown. You could always wear your real jacket over the shirt for a real cool effect also.

Just my 2 cents!

:P

This shirt would be great with the denim Indy jacket. The orginal mock up looks good, just add the collars. I wouldn't add the bag, jacket, or belts, though.

That's where we lose the fun of the project. This was intended to mimic these t-shirts popular back in the day:

The more detail the better! Otherwise, just buy a cheap Indy shirt and call it a day.

awesome ideas. The first long sleev version would definitely need a darker jacket color, looks too much like a Mr. Roggers sweater to me at the momment lol. I think just the shirt and bag/with strap is great on its own. The belts and jacket parts are a cool idea too though. I also agree though, dont do the drawing of the open colar. If your really doing that id say V neck as well. but a regular shirt like the first design is a bit nicer looking

 I love the chest hair and fake tan on the short sleeved version. It just makes it really funny. I think if you could combine them - like a long sleeved version of the 2nd example - that would be perfect!

i only designed my version with a short sleeve because i already had the template. if i made these, i would make them long sleeved. the design wouldn't change anyways.
