New Wested Jackets - ROTLA and Denim

Post by rrhanselka »

In a previous post I allowed that I had just received a Standard Wested in Lambskin and had several issues including the front being too short for the back and the body being too full among others.

Today I received a Special ROTLA and a Denim jacket from Wested and they are completely different. Both fit totally different than the Standard. They fit better in the torso, less roomy and better on the shoulders. All three jackets are 42R. Both the Special and the Denim fit seem a little longer in the front and fit great. :D

One thing I do find interesting is that I have 3 Wested jackets. All three have different zippers and "D" Rings. My new Special has chrome rectangular and the denim has antique brass "D" rings.

And, yes, both have made by "craftsmen", so they are obviously farmed out. Anyway, I'm not a stickler on every detail, so I'm very happy with both of them. Thanks Peter and Gemma.

Oh yeah, photos of jackets will follow. As soon as I figure out how to take a pic of myself, I'll send more phoyos. BTW, I've now got 4 jackets and my G&B arrives Monday. I'm a bonafide sicko, and I'm blaming all you guys.

If I'm not mistaken the denim is based off of ToD specs, so its 1 inch longer (that would account for the different length), the Special is a slimmer fit, where as the standard is not, that s probably why it fits nicer for you.

The special is supposed to come with the sliders...and I guess the denim just looks better with the antique d rings?

Cant wait to see some pics! Sounds like you've gotten yourself a few options with the jacket!
