Dying my Webley Holster

Post by Yurik »

I've gotten a hold of a beautiful Webley holster from 1918. The leather is soft and flowing. Unibelieveable how old this thing is and still be in such pristine condition. The color is very similar to the Raiders holster. However, it's the perfect shape, size, and design for a TOD. I plan on dying it dark brown. Is there anything I should condtion it with, or keep in mind before applying dye to it?

When I dyed my Aldens, I used Fiebing's leather dye. But before I dyed, I used their "deglazer" first to get any wax, dirt, etc off first, let that dry, then used the dye. And of course, when done, apply that miracle of miracles.... Pecards!
