No more raiders pants?

Post by starks_6 »

Its awesome to see quite a few places making welll priced copys of the shirts and pants now. From my memory The Raiders pants were considered to be more of a grey and no one seems makes the grey, has this feeling changed?

i own a pair of raiders pants that i got from noel howard and i think they are spot on...especially with the NH shirt....very screen accurate. I can supply pictures if you'd like but i think Noel is your best bet.

also, the pants that PLATON used to offer were good too..and the pocket flaps were definetly screen accurate! (unlike noel howards, which are less pointy and do not have the stichting on the outside of the flap).

PLATON, are you going to offer these again???

Noel Howard is probably the way to go for complete screen accuracy, but I'd rather find the next best thing in cotton or something for the shirt and pants. I hate the idea of having to dry clean anything.

The color on those NH shirt and pants is fantastic by the way.

That would work if you wore them, "Only on special occasions."

Haha. There that's my Indy quote for the day.

ill get you a close up shot of the shirt tomorrow...i got off the rack pants, you just have to get them hemmed at a taylor or dry cleaner....only costs like 2 bucks per leg...and if the waist is a little tight it can be let out 2 inches.

Which reminds me that I still haven't cleaned my PLATON/Paris pants during the 10 months I've owned them (used mainly during weekends). I'll see what the situation is in May and if I need to clean them before the premiere or not.

Depens how long time have you actually used them in total, if you mean almost every weekend outdoor for 10 months, yuk.... hygiene? Knock knock, hello? anyone? :-0

Not almost every weekend, more like one or two weekends in a month. The first stains appeared after like seven months of use so they don't get particularly dirty. They are also too fine to be used every day and too hot to be used during the summer.

VP, got any pics of your PLATON pants? I'd particularly like to see the famous pocket flaps.

Unfortunately the website of Platon seems to be taken down from the internet... Platon, when you read this, please respond. Also sent you a PM. Hope he still can produce these pants...

That NH shirt is nice! Do people still feel the color to be a little dark for SA however?
And how do Indy Magnolis pants add up? They look good. whats the closest color offering he has to raiders?

The colour of the Noel Howard shirt is the same colour and material used in the three movies

I'm not sure about the color of Magnolis pants, but as long as you read the comments, they are very good and highly above average. I only have the NH shirts and LC pants. Especially the shirt is fantastic. The look and feel IS Raiders, esp. after a few washings. Please see:
viewtopic.php?t=24196 (pictures are a bit dark). If Noel is around, he replies very fast and doing some business with him was always a pleasure. :D
