Quick US Wings question
Hey, merry christmas all.
I see that US Wings has a good price on th VIP jacket and I'm going to get one tomorrow after I get me a gift credit card. I do have one question though: How long does it usually take US Wings to get the jacket to your door?
The reason I ask is I want to now if I should have the jacket sent to my college (which I return to January 12) or where I'm at now. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

You'll LOVE the VIP! That's what I have.
Best bet, and I hate to appear to be dodging the question, but that's to call Wings and ask them! They'd have a better handle on how quickly items are getting out the door this time of year.
Looking forward to hearing what you think of the VIP when you get yours!
HIGH regards! Michaelson

Hi Michaelson -
Question about the Wings Indy VIP Cowhide. Your description of the VIP Cowhide is that it is a jacket heavier in weight than the others. That would have been my guess also, owningan Avirex cowhide A-2. But every time I read the "specs" of the jacket on the US Wings site, I get the impression they are trying to say it light in weight, soft, and a bit of the delicate side. Comments? : Best for 2008! Hey I live in Dallas and am always trying to talk my wife into moving the family somewhere else, I guess I'm not a big fan of this city, not enough outdoors-y things to do here JMHO. So for me Alaska would definately be the better choice of those two. However, as far as jackets are concerned I find that Dallas is very good for jacket wearing. The whole fall/winter seasons here are more suited for a jacket than a coat. I find that I get a good 5 to 6 months of straight jacket wear. Forget it once it warms up though, our evenings don't get cool like some places do in the summer. Alaska, I'd think would be more of a coat place rather than a jacket.

One is Alaska and the othe is Dallas, Texas.

I agree with Doug. These cowhide Wings jackets are made for cold weather. They are physically heavy, but when worn in the right situation, they're the best.
So, forget the 'delicate' angle....the VIP is heavy and tough...just softer to the touch, as it's made from the underbelly of the cow rather than the side hide, and sourced from France. They use ALL the hide of a cow where we only use the sides and back. That's why the VIP is softer, but don't think it's more delicate because of it.
Regards! Michaelson
