I was looking around the Club, but haven't noticed it mentioned. WPG now has a new batch of the Reproduction gas mask bags for sale. They didn't have them a couple months ago. I just ordered one, and a leather strap.

Bag arrived today. It really doesn't look overly green to me though. Will try to get a couple pics on later.

This shot compares it to my Dad's old WW2 duffel bag. Now that's green!

I arrived really quick, I paid by paypal it on the 12th,got it today. The other thread mentioned an overly green color on these. Seems to me, this new production run is less so. The strap is a bit stiff thoughAnyway, I like it.
ATTN MODS:I guess this should be on the gear section.Move it if you want.

It looks like a really nice shade. Then again, I'm green/green color blind, so that could be chroma green for all I know, haha. How does it hold up? Durable?

The first WPG repro bag I ever bought fell apart on me. One of the stitchings holding the rings in came apart. I ended up giving that bag to Doc Indy Jones. I bought an authentic MKVII bag from WPG though, and it's held up fine.

Hmm, the buckle seems to be a little different compared to mine :-k Or perhaps it's just me.

Since I just got the strap recently,if yours is a WPG,maybe the buckle style change abit?? I really think the leather strap is a little too thick and stiff. Half that thickness would be about right. It was a little tough getting it through the buckle,a tight fit. Hopefully I can soften it up some.

I own the same strap and it has soften up a lot over the past year. The thickness of the strap is just right, in my perspective.

Little OT but yeah Strider gave me his old bag and I use it every chance I get... thanks again for that bag man I love it to death! All I had to do was reinforce the strap holding the ring in and it was a quick fix to... then I had to pick up a Chicago screw from Lowes which was a quick fix as well.

Hey raider 57, just start carrying your new bag and leather strap around. I got my repro bag and strap from WPG about a year ago and my almost daily use of carrying it from my house to my van, then the van into my work place, and back again has softened up the leather without any type of other treatment.

Good luck with your gear collection.

The color does look much better than when I got my WPG bag a couple of years ago. The old color borderlined on crayola green - it looks good now that I distressed it, but it's kind nice to get something that right out of the box without alteration...
Enjoy the bag!
