Sleeve length FYI from FS...

Post by junior »

Thought this may help some out there in gearland.

FS relayed that for the 40R off the rack Expedition the sleeve length is at 34". So put on a 34" dress shirt and you will see where the jacket sleeve will end. They also said that the jackets increase or decrease by a 1/2" from size to size. Meaning, a 42R would be 34 1/2" and a 44R would be at 35", while a 38R would be at 33 1/2".

As far as long sizes go, the length of the sleeve would be 1" longer than the off the rack size and the length of the body is lowered 1 1/2". So the 40L would have 35" sleeves with an extra 1 1/2" added to the body length.

I have heard people say the sleeves should end at the wrist while some say it should go down a 1/2" short of the "finger knuckles". As many know, in Raiders the sleeve length varies from these two examples from scene to scene, but...

...what's everyones opinion on the matter? Where do you like them to end?

Well, I like mine to sit even with the big knuckle of my thumbs...that way when I'm driving, they sit right at my wrists and do not ride up.
