IMCO Lighters @ Restoration Hardware

Post by prettybigguy »

I just visited a Restoration Hardware in the Chicago suburbs this past weekend and found that they had a who bin full ofIMCO Tr-Plex lighters. They are going for $6. I remember seeing them there a few years ago, and it looks like they're back. Complete you Marion costume today!

They're really dependable and easy to care for lighters too!

I was lucky enough to get them at Restoration on close-out a few years back. Cost me all of a buck fifty. That's probably what Marion paid for 'em back in 1936 in Nepal! ;)

Yes, they're pretty cheap, but very reliable. I never leave without it.
Interestingly it is still built the same way they built it 60 years ago - and IMCO gives a function guarantee of 10 years!
It is said that the inner part (where you fill in the fuel) was originally built from old bullits. They had a lot of 'em back then ...
