Do you think
Wested would add a rectangular leather patch on the inside of the jacket under the pocket stretching to the bottom seam?
I have whip damage which has wore a huge hole in the lining of my wested, from wearing the whip.

Shane, is that the bag I see there? My bag usually hangs over the whip when I wear it, so the whip seldom hits the inside of my jacket. That said, it'd probably be easier and cheaper (think shipping!) to go to a local tailor and have him or her sew in a patch of some sort. Personbally, I think you'd want to stick with fabric over a leather patch, but that's me.
EDIT: and noticing where you live, shipping might not be an issue!

Like I said... workin' on my masters.Indiana Jerry wrote:(P.S. Bink, Shane got me with that one, too...)
Anyway - if anything shoot them an email or call them and see how much it would cost to have them do it, and if you disagree with the price, you can find somebody else. Just do some recon first and see what you're in for. Then make your move.

Good point. A local military base ought to have a qualified leather repair.

WOW, you can see right through to daylight there!
Wested will completely reline the jacket for £25ish, you might want to look into the cotton lining, or they do have a harder wearing all nylon material (other than the the satin) - Peter doesn't like using the nylon because it looks a bit "Cheap".
I'd also see if they have any suggestion for reinforcing that particular point for you as it has worn through particularly quickly.

Thanks for all the replies guys....I like the relining idea, but add a strengthener.
It's actually caused by a culmination of rubbing on the bad strap at the metal circular link and the top of the whip holder. Mostly the top of the whip holder since I wear the gunbelt a lot, and I think that in combination with cycling rubs the fabric away.
I think the top hole is stuff in my inner pocket rubbing against the bag strap and the lower hole is the whip holder damage.
And to think I havent had this jacket long.
regards,

I had the satin lining in my sleeves and it tore like that from normal wear in about 6 months. I sent it back to Wested and they replaced the sleeve lining with cotton and had my jacket back to me quick. If I were you, I would have them replace the lining with cotton. Its much more durable (and comfortable in my opinion).
