Goatskin

Post by LJHood »

I have a new Wested Goatskin jacket which has a bit of a new jacket shine to it. How can I dull the leather a bit? I am not interested in actually creating distressed patches and spots. I just want to mellow the leather shine down. Thanks.

You can rub it down with some rubbing-alcohol (go figure!) and that should take the sheen out a bit...

Do you use the rubbing alcohol neat or water it down?

I would think the 75% rubbing alcohol IS watered down in comparison to the 91%.

Just my thoughts.

The goat went for a walk, huh?

Hate it when that happens.
