I was going to post about this on other whip boards, but I need a time and a location for the whipcracking before I can do that. I know we set a date, but the time and location never seemed to get nailed down.

Maybe a weekend in October would work better, as I know both Canasta and I are pretty busy right now. Canasta said he'd make it, but talking to him on the phone sounds like it would be a real stretch for him.

I'd like to see us have a date, time, and location all nailed down a month before doing this, so I can start posting on the other boards a month before, and then periodically up until the event.

Sounds like it won't be best for all of us then. I know it sounded like Chris would have a hard time of it and many others have already backed out so maybe we can set a tentative date more towards the end of summer. Maybe late August or September?

I just came back from scouting out that location I mentioned earlier and the grass is cut in that field so it is PERFECT for whipcracking and closer to my house than the last place we went to.

PBG and Illinois Troy, since you guys are local, do you still wanna hook up that day, chill, go the forest preserves, crack some whips, chill some more, get a bite to eat and hit Raiders early in the eavening? I'll drive.

PM me if you guys still wanna hook up. Be glad to hand out with some gearheads and check out the new print of Raiders.

D'OH!! Sorry, Glurrk. Of course, you and anyone else are welcome. I just figured that since we were setting up to crack whips and the real whipcrackers are having problems with that date that it be best to just call it a day and make it another.

Hey, with Spring just around the corner, anyone up for trying this out again??? (Just thought I'd throw this out now, so planning could be done in advance...) :)

Hey man, I can keep a schedule that's planned ahead of time. It was everyone else (except you) who untangled our plans.

I'm game...again.
