Is it 3" and not 4" S&W

Post by K on the run »

I think that the the .45 ACP Hand Ejector gun from Raiders (the one with the chipped grip) has a 3" barrel and not a 4" as stated on the mail site. I printed the pic of the screen used S&W in actual size, or as close as I could, and it's not 4" when I measure it on the print.
Any thoughts guys? Am I way of here :-k

Well, where did you measure it from. I understand that it's four inches from the tip of the barrel to where the barrel meets the cylinder, rather than where it meets the frame. That's how it is on my Artsee revolver as well.

yeah that dawned on me after the first post. Funny thou that the Tanaka gun is called a 4" police special when it actually has a longer barrel!?!?
Well I'm going to cut it down to 4".
IndyParise, can you give me the barrel diameter from your Artsee gun? Not the thick front sight thingy, but just behind it.
I made my barrel modification already(1,6 cm or 0,63") and it would be nice to know if I'm close at all to the real diameter.

thanks,
Kim

Actually, there is no thick part by the sight. I thought the same thing but its just flat with the blueing rubbed off.

Outside surfaces, from one side to the other is about 9/16 of an inch or about 1 1/2 centimeters

inside to inside is 3/8 of an inch or about 0.375 cm

now this is a rather rough measurement but it should give the general idea. If you need it closer tell me and I'll try it with a better ruler.

Thanks IndyParise, that's close enough. Looks like I nailed it from the pic. :D And thanks for the info on the front sight, could have f**** it up fight there .
I'll post pics later (when the front sight it done)

Best regards,
Kim
