I mentioned in another thread how a completely "Non-Indy" jacket could make a great looking jacket that is very characteristic of something Indiana Jones may have worn. Entirely different pockets and pocket placement, no action pleat, different side straps, yet very Indy-ish.
With no disrespect to Wested, as that is THE Indy jacket, I have an example of such a jacket below:
I think it all in the fit. The wear too, but getting a jacket too bulky just so you can wear sweaters under it compromises the Indy look. It should look lean and mean. If you need a sweater, save that for a different leather jacket
Very sharp! Looks very '40's. My kind of jacket. It's odd to see the double cinch straps on the sides! Horsehide? I personally prefer the waist length jackets over the below-the-waist ones...it allows you to more easily get into your pockets (nor does it interfere with your pistol holster!).
I LIKE it Rick!! In fact, strange that you should post this......I am wearing a jacket today that is VERY similar to this one.....especially the color and distressed look. I'll try to post some pics of it later......I'd like your feedback and perhaps hazard a guess as to what kind of leather it may be.
I agree that there are jackets out there that do not look like Indy's but that are very Indyish. Here is a pic of me in my jacket that I think has the "spirt" of Indy. And I like the jacket you posted, it looks good.
Thanks, that jacket is my favorite. Unfortunetly it hasn't seen much action in the past week since I got the first wested, but not to worry, it will still see plenty of action.
