Those are - the Blue Mosque / the beautiful Aya Sophia view from our hotel appartment / the AB in it's natural enviroment / me getting a bit wasted! :P

Last time I checked the board, I don't think anyone else had been there, so Steve that should be another pin in your world map of AB adventure 8)

I'll do a full travel report in the Scrapbook forum in the hopefully near future :)

Wonderful pics...it sure looks beuatiful.

A little tip...the second pic, we can't see your face...might be handy to use infill flash to highlight your face.

I always use flash outdoors for portrait shots.

Skippy, Turkey is one of the places I really want to visit one day. Kudos!

I love the photos and I can really picture Indy in a place like that. :D :P

Did you have fun smoking the hookah?

Istanbul, not Constantinople? I have a date in Constantinople...

Great pics! What did you smoke in your hookah? While in Lebanon, I had some great smoked apple to puff on...

Looks awesome, especially the pipe. I'd love to go to Istambul.

Don't forget to post in the General Gear section about the trip your close enough shirt and MK-VII bag made to Istambul as well. Don't neglect the rest of your gear!

Great to see the photos. Gear is looking good and so is the locale.

Was good catching up with you on the phone recently - thanks again!

 He has pictured the most important part of his gear-his fedora!!! Face it, if Indy could only take two pieces of gear, one would be his pants, and the next his hat. :D Or if he was going into danger, his hat and his pistol, in that order.

Great pics Skippy! Thanks for the show and tell. Fedora

Thanks for the nice comments :D

Have to say, if you could fall in love with a building, Sophia is the one *sigh* I have some video of her at night with the Call to Prayer going on 8) I will try & work out how to post it :?

It's not too clear in that picture, but infront of the mosque there was an archeological dig going on, as the Four Seasons hotel is expanding, which unfortunately also means that particular view from the appartment will not exsist too much longer

& I was smoking Cherry tobacco, which didn't taste much of it (must remember to go for Water Melon or Apple in the future!). I don't smoke at all, but indulge in the waterpipe 2 or 3 times a year at a couple of our favourite Arabic/Egyptian resturants in London :P

Here is another teaser pic until I get back from a work trip & can get the Scrapbook post up. Could also be a capton contest pic

Beautiful pics, Skippy! The Hagia Sophia is indeed a beauty... it was something of a favourite when I studied Byzanthine art and architecture. Did you go inside?

Well the little fella just marched straight up to me, on to me & tried to get INTO my MKVII

Yes, we went in Tom, so I have some very good pics of the fabulous mosaics to share later :)

Thought about that Tone. A nice Panama hat would have been cooler in the climate too 8)

Right, off to Prague now. Unfortunately no Indy Gear on this trip, as it's all business :( See you all when I get back :D
