Here's a pic of an 8-plait cowhide bullwhip I just finished. I really liked the looks of it, so I thought I'd post a pic.
Also, I have increased some of my cowhide prices. 8-plait whips are now $20 per foot and 12-plait cowhide whips are $25 per foot. Actually, I only get about one order a month for 8- or 12-plait cowhide whips, so I don't see this causing an uproar.
The handle is a little darker. I usually end up cutting out the handle from close to where the neck would be on the cow, and that leather tends to be a littler darker as it takes in a touch more oil. Kind of gives it a nice used look without having ever been used.
Minnesota,
I come over to the Cities about every Thursday to go swing dancing at the Tapestry. The dance starts about 10, so any Thursday you want to hang out, just let me know and I'll come over early.

How come I live in Mpls and have never heard of the Tapestry? Sheesh, shows how little my wife and I go out.
Great whip (as always), Adam. You are a true craftsman.

You bet it is!
I hope to go dancing this Thursday, and Friday morning take a train down to Chicago with some friends of mine to see the King Tut exhibit at the Field Museum.
