Comparison of an Bernie wojicicki whip and a joe strain whip

Post by Indiana Cromeens »

just wanted to give a full report and comparison on my two babies
My 8ft. bernie wojicicki whip:

and my 10ft. Joe strain

and the two together close up

The bernie whip has thicker cut looser braided strands like a morgan whip, and an 8 inch handle like the old morgans,The strain has a very tight 12 plait overlay and screen accurate knots on the handle and bottom knot, the whip also bends closer to the handle while the bernie wojicicki bends higher up past the handle. both crack effortlessly but the strain is probably a little easier while the bernie whip cracks a little louder(it has a tendency to leave my ears ringing)Hope this can help any of you who plan on ordering either soon,or just love a good comparison-cheers!

I got a an 8ft 12plait natural Roo hide whip from WSP a couple of months ago and I posted shots of it. There seemed to be some confusion of who made my whip but now after seeing your two whips together your Strain looks indentical to mine. I guess that clears that up for me. :)

Well, it turns out my whip isn't a Strain after all but someone who's style is similar and just as talented.

The Strain and mine are almost like works of art and that makes me not want to use it but you know that's not going to happen!

I especially like on the strain whip, how the colour seems to fade doen the length of the whip making lighter towards the end, makes it seem even more Raidersish...

It was born on oct.31, on the bottom of my whip the knot has its birthday, whip # and my name carved into it.
