I guess I really want to know just how stiff the goat and HH are right out of the bag, but a discussion and photo comparison topic concerning drape between all of the various leathers would be a good thing as well.
goat is famous for being tough as nails and just as stiff. Although I've never experienced that, mine was very soft when I got it, and barely needed any distressing at all. The qualities of the different leathers is as follows:
So the goat is comparable in feel to lamb, but is tough as nails? The samples i got from Peter and co. the goat was thick and tough, not that soft. thats kinds of confusing.

The goat is similar in appearance to lamb, but it is thicker and not quite as soft. Yes, it its tough and quite water resistant.

No, where'd you get that? MY goat was soft, but most others I've talked to haven't had that experienced. I also imagine a lamb would be much softer than even my goat. :junior: -IJ
Who on COW has had experience with, owns, or has owned at one time every type of Wested leather? Lamb, goat, cowhide, pre-distressed cowhide, horsehide?
I had a wested cow that i sold, and i have a non indy leather jacket that is lamb. the cow is pretty stiff and heavy compared to the lamb. It feels very bulletproof.
