I've just got the prototypes finished for the TOD Horus cufflinks. As you can see, I've linked the front and the back links with a chain. I believe this is how the originals were done, as the position of the back oval varies from shot-to-shot, showing that it was free to rotate slightly. The final version (cast of a zinc alloy) will be available in gold, silver (as shown) and antique brass. I'm not sure of a final price yet, as I'll have to wait for the initial run to confirm final costs of import tax, etc., but I'm estimating they'll be around $25 a pair (plus s/h).
Kind regards,
Indy

Very, very nice Indy Magnoli! I am in for a pair.
btw, the pair shown look brass. You say they are silver? Is it just the photo?
Thanks.

Yes, it must be a combination of the lighting and your monitor settings versus mine. The prototype are a very pure chrome-coloured silver.
I'll post the other two version and ordering information when they become available.

Indy

Big credit to SJ for those shots!
If I'm not mistaken, I think you were quite involved in finding out the look of the cufflinks?
With the Egypt knowledge and all.

These cufflinks should be available in a week or two. I'll keep you posted. But, in the mean time, I'm offering the prototype set I made on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MESE:IT
These are nickel plated and will not be offered again. The ones in the film are gold, but I made two pairs in silver as a prototype. One set I'm keeping for myself, but the other is on auction. So, if you'd like a silver set, this will be your only chance...
Kind regards,
Indy

Oh, man, Magnoli - those came out GREAT! With the antiquing (is that the word?), I think I actually like the bronze ones better, which really show off the detail work! Excellent!

The couple arrived today, now watching me from one of my bookshelves as I type this. They are even better in real life than the pictures show, with more sence of deapth to them and a wonderful finish. These will come to good use.
Order with confidence. What else.

After watching TOD in bluray, I notice that there seems to be some patina on his cufflinks! So, to add a little archaeological screen-accuracy, I've done the same to our bronze version:
If any of you would like to order a pair with this patina, it's no extra charge. Simply order through the site as usual and add a request in the comments section for the patina.
Kind regards,
Magnoli
