1 beaver and 1 "vintage." Steve blocked me an AdventureBilt out of a vintage 1920 body, though I can't remember if it's pure beaver. I think it might be a blend....

Yeah, yours is beaver. The thing is, I have sent out beaver hats in the past when the customer ordered rabbit. I upgraded the hat for no charge. I had to quit doing it when the bank account for the shop got depleted!! And, I never told most folks that I did so. This was early on, last year when I first started before it became apparent that I could not continue to do so and stay in business. Yeah, I know it is stupid, from a business point of view, but I had to learn it on my own.  Oh, I only count 34 hats above. Where's the other 466? Fedora
Folks, In my book this shows alot of class!

I thought so, but I guess I needed the reminder. In fact, I'm wearing that particular hat to work today! Heck, it may even make it to the company website! They ended up taking pics of us at our desk today and I insisted upon wearing my hat in the pics.

Oh, Hemingway, the mayo's in there, just dig a little. It's probably hiding behind the milk dated May 2003.

I need to dig mine out tonight. I put it away when the summer heat started climbing back in July. It's comfortable enough around here to wear now. :-k

If Spielberg is smart when filming Indy 4, there will be one more name added to the list of Adventurebilt beaver fedora owners:

Harrison Ford

Then HE can join OUR club!

If Fedora's reputation needs any more boosting (and it sure doesn't around here) that will be the icing on the cake. Then we'll know for sure everything there is to know about Indy's hat.

I'd hate to see the beaver when you open that box! I hope he isn't hungry and in a bad mood. May need to stamp a few more Fragiles on that box!

What kind of mood would you be in if someone sewed a ribbon around you, stuffed you in a hat box, and shipped you across the country?

I think it'd be the bashing part that would really tick me off...

Got an email from Steve today...my hat should be done as of this evening! Woohoo! (Take a look for a pic of it in the next day or two, Steve was thinking of posting a quick pic... ;))

I hit the 500 mark awhile back. I have quit counting now. I start to think about it, and man, that is alot of hats to make with my own two paws. And also lots of stab wounds from sharp pointed needles!! But, you do get better at avoiding pricks as you move up the curve. It has been quite awhile since I stabbed myself. regards, Fedora

Do you think it will be better, worse, or about the same when you get into the softer felted hats?
