Hi Peeps,

Thought I'd share some of my new stuff.

I still need Aldens, AB, Shirt, whip, and pants....Also forgive the Disney lid.

Currently I have Wested Authentic Lamb, Repro MKVII (Bleached overnight to get the aged look), Todds Bag Strap, Gloves, Web Belt (Wrong buckle color), Gun Belt, Whip Holder, and Basic Holster.

Well what can i say it's all really well made stuff. Thanks Todd.

Also I love to pose hehe.

Looks very good. I would dirty up those gloves with a bit of shoe polish. :wink:

I just stuck my gloves in a bag of charcoal and rubbed my hands together. Instant distressing.

One of the ways I gave my gloves a distressed look was by wearing them whenever I'd put Pecards on my whip. It really darkened them up and it also put the wear where it would actually be, since it was done while working.

You see, I'm fastidious. I don't actually want any dirt on my gear that is going to stay on there. If my jacket or hat gets dirty, I clean them. I am a tidy Indy!

If gloves get all dirty and stained, I throw them away and buy new gloves. Shoe polish gives me the look of an aged glove without dirt!

So what do you do with your rappelling gloves? Around my neck of the woods they are filthy after a few trips.

I don't wear gloves when I rappel. I never have; too much stuff to carry with a full rack and slings. :wink: 8)

I don't think rappellling is called rappelling in Newcastle-on-Tyne, I think it is called abseiling over there.

I could be wrong.

I just did a quick Google search. Apparently, abseiling is the German term for rappelling. It seems that it is also used by the English. However, here in the US we use the French term Rappelling. Anywho, what goes up must come down, and it sure beats down climbing. :wink:

Oh, and falling, don't forget that's why they invented rapelling in the first place...falling stunk.

I wore my gloves last weekend - eight hours working outside - lawnmower, picking up the fruit dropping from the trees, hedge shears, and finally - the CHAINSAW. Yeah, now they're distressed.

(Oh, and an odd thing...I'm actually using a pair of the current gloves - the ones w/ the padded palm, that I just removed that suede palm-patch from - and gee, with the distressing you really have to look now to see the old stitch holes. So aside from the keystone thumb, these don't look that bad now. Hunh. I just kept them as better than nothing, but if they keep getting better, I'll repost some pics for those folks who just CAN'T find the right ones or don't want to pay for the repros.)

I've worn my gloves for what 3 days and already they are getting dirty so I'm leting them distress quite naturally. The partner and mother-in-law where like "Get them off they lok like riding gloves for women." FOR WOMEN!!! the cheek.

I distressed my gloves by the Todds Costumes tutorial. Mine came out pretty good. I may make a thread with pics of them later. Unfortunately I have no before and after shots. :?
