Need cat sized whip?

Post by Indykitty »

I need a cat sized whip. How would I make one. It doesn't need to pop though. I am just trying to make gear for my cat who's named after Indy because Indy is named after the dog. I hope this is the right place to post this.

How about if you braid some craft store leather strands? That should suffice...

You might want to look at the whip hat bands that Mike Murphy makes.
I think they're 4 plait kangaroo. They're about the size you're looking for, they look fantastic, and they DO ACTUALLY CRACK!

They're $3O something in Australian Dollars, so they're not badly priced.

Check them out in the "Other Whips" in the store section of Mike's website:

Good luck!

A member by the name of the_edge also makes leather watch fobs in a bullwhip style. Possibly worth PM'ing him...he's in the US, which might make it quicker, and he does EXCELLENT work. (Got one of his watch fobs.)

Hiya:

Joe Strain has made a mini (well, macroscopic) Indy whip! The little thing coils in the palm of your hand! He has a pic on his site, but I don't know if he makes them for sale:

You might want to get in contact with him about your "cat" whip.

Btw, this is my first post! :)

cheers,

Where is Strain's Miniwhip? I see the pic but can't find a link for the price under neither Whips or Accessories.

KT & Canyon:

Thanx for the welcome. Joe makes some amazing whips. The only whip I have from him is my 8 foot 12 plait snakewhip. I do hope to own more of his whips someday.

cheers,

Hi:

I'm not sure if he sells them. The best thing would be to email him or give him a call.

best,
Gene
