displaying your gear

Post by belle »

Just wondering how most of you display your gear? Do youi keep it in a case or on a mannequin? If you go the mannequin route, were did you find one? I'd love to see pic's.

Never tire of showing off my gear. I got the mannequin at a garage sale for $15 and it was worth every cent.

I don't display my gear as such, unless I'm wearing it.

I do have a few Indy props on display though - Idol, grail diary, Sankara stone, Cross of Coranado, my MKVII and my (close enough) Indy revolver.

On the RPF and other prop forums I often see people displaying their gear on lifesize mannequins. Probably the best I have ever seen was Chris King's Indy manneuin, as seen on the Wested website.

EDIT: Agent5 - just saw your pic above - very nice display, tasteful!

Regards

Al

Thanks guys. It means alot after so much goes into it. It was actually Chris King who inspired me most after I saw his 1:1 Raiders Indy over at Indyfan yeeeeeeears ago. Yes, he did have the best Indy ever. The bust just sold for a very fair price.

I'm close to completion on my second 1:1 Raiders mannequin. :D :D :D Hopefully within the next several months.

Here are some photos of my current gear collection display. Over the years I have gone between displaying and not so displaying of my gear. As my gear is ever expanding and evolving, I tend to take more pride in the display.

Bogie,
Where'd you get your Shankara stones? They look kick arse!

Agent 5,

I bought those Sankara Stones from Aimee Reich back in 99/2000. Yes indeed, I love her finish, it's more realistic.
