I was checking out my jacket to see how the fit was with everything zipped and snapped shut and when I opened my collar the male end of the snap popped off the rivet!
In the pic below I circled the snap that popped off.
It's not really a big deal but it looks like the rivet was not punched down properly so it was not expanded all around against the male portion of the snap.
This isn't something I would bother sending back to Wested for repair and it looks like it should be an easy do it yourself fix.
Doe's anyone know what size press stud and rivet I need to get to replace the male side on the collar? Also, any tips on doing this repair will be welcome.
DOH! One of my press studs busted...

Michealson,
Thanks for the tip on the shoe repair shop. I just called a couple and they said they can do it but they may need to replace both sides if they don't have a matching male side. I got the hidden snap studs option with my jacket and I don't think I'd feel too comfortable having a shoe repair shop cutting up my Wested if they have to replace both sides. I might try calling Wested to see if they will send me a few replacement snap parts and take it to the shoe repair place to install or do it myself...

My first Wested had a similar problem, but it was the male press-stud in the cargo pocket. The repair shop said that they'd have to open the stitching on the pocket to replace the snap. Needless to say, I went without the repair. This is the main reason that I didn't get the collar closure.
I hope that it isn't necessary to open the stitching on the wind flap to repair/replace the snap closure, so you may wanna take Michaelson's advice and take it to a shoe repair shop for an estimate.

Talk a look in the yellow pages under 'alterations' as well. You may have a shop that can work on leather jackets (a lot of shops can be found around military bases, as many military folks don't like to sew. These shops specialize in leather jacket work), and can open the seams and make the fix with no problems. Regards. Michaelson

Okay, I just called Wested and talked to Jerry and he will be sending me out some replacement snaps and hardware ASAP! I tell you the folks at Wested have great customer service!
When I get the snap hardware I can take it to the shoe repair shop for installation. This way I'll only get the side that needs the repair fixed without having to cut open the storm flap!
He also mentioned that they were having some internet access problems all through England. So they are unable to access email or the web until the whatever the issue is, is resolved.
