Re: Why nobody has matched the shirt!
Why? because noone has the exacting standards of the original tailor. The original shirts for the first 3 films were made by Andreas Dometakis. Not Hoel Howard or anyone else. Noel simply outsourced the making of the shirts to Dometakis. His are the ~only~ real Indy shirts and are exact to the way h...

You seem to be digging yourself into a hole with your comments. Not digging into any hole. The fact remains that looking at a good Wested, then looking at the movie, you can see that it's the same jacket all around. If you go much deeper into what your eyes THINK you see on a DVD or film, you're ch...

Ahh. Well, if he came to *you* wanting us to have a more SA jacket, then the question surfaces....exactly why is he not interested in actually listening to you guys and making it the correct way? The answer is ...he's willing to make it SA...but only insofar as he doesn't have to put forth any more ...

Not meaning to be harsh, I just state my thoughts. From what I can tell there was alot of effort put in to get Wings to make this jacket, and it's an admirable effort. I just don't see the point to it, that's all. I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't understand your original mindset in wanted t...

go for Dometakis
I've had every single type and vendor of Indy shirt over the years, and still nothing comes close to the original Dometakis shirts in sea-island cotton.Of course, most people aren't willing to wait 3 years and spend >$300 on a shirt, but hey... Now I must say, Todd's are the best thing going as far ...

two prong?
Patterns are made and a control sample is in work. Orders start cutting thursday and first orders start to leave next week. All wth authentic zip, snaps (english) and two prong side buckle. Two-prong side-buckle? Excuse my ignorance, but is that what was on the screen used ToD? You mean like a belt...

are these outsourced?
Not sure if this was covered already, but can we be assured that these particular jackets are made in the UK as they should be, or is he having these made in India? I remember hearing that Peter outsourced making the jackets now. True, or only partially true? Won't buy one if they are

Yes, I was the one who had and still has actual Dometakis shirts. To clear this issue up for everyone, here are some tidbits. I used to pick them up in person while in London, but only after a significant wait (some were 2 years), but he was always gracious. The thing about him was that he impressed...

Sad news to report, re: Herbert Johnson
Hello all, Sadly, I just spoke to my good friend in the U.K. with whom we would visit Richard Swales at Herbert Johnson from time to time; he informed me that Swaine Adeney/ Herbert Johnson has once again been bought out, and also that Richard has retired. I hear that the shop was being poorly misma...

"Raiders" collapsible coat hanger available in Sep
Hello All, I just wanted to take this opportunity to let the fans know that I will be offering professionally made replica collapsible coat hangars identical to the one seen during the brief scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark. There will only be 100 made as to the detail as seen in the film. Any addit...
