I agree about the weapon thing. I carry a pocket knife everyday at work. Its not a weapon. If I use it to try to rob a store lets say, then it just became a weapon.
Same as my bb guns. They look like real handguns. As long as I use them the right way, they are not dangerous. That's my 2 cents.

Re: My first whip.
Well the first reason for the bumps is probably I'm not a professional whip maker, haha. It looks like para cord, but i'm not sure if it really is. These strands were taken from the guts of a bigger rope. No one that I know sells the stuff "paracord" in my city. I saw this stuff at my loca...

Re: My first whip.
For what ever reason, there was no filler strands, so I didn't have to go through all that work.

Re: My first whip.
Hey guys, sorry for the delay. Was waiting for the forum to open. It is paracord sheath. the strands were already removed. these were filler strands of a thicker rope. It is just under 8 feet. It has a ball chain core and 8 plait belly with 12 overlay. I have since learned a better way to drop stran...

My first whip.
This is my first try. I need some work on my taper but i've learned a lot after making this one. It has the ball chain core and steel handle, first layer is 8 and then 12 over that. http://www.flickr.com/photos/allanmace/6561260477/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" oncl...

Re: jrzjoe whips
I bought one last year. I thought i was getting an Indy whip, but was very disappointed when it came. it looked nothing like it did in the add he posted. I even sent him an email asking him if his whips cracked. His reply was that they will if you know how to crack one. Well I could hardly get it to...
