Re: Can anyone share some Fullers Earth?

I asked this on a different thread, but a quick question about using fullers earth. If I dump it on, say, my hat and pants and such, how tough is it going to be to get the stuff off if I want to actually wear the pants (or the hat) for non-costume purposes? The hat isn't as big a deal as the pants a...

Re: Halloween costume... how critical is the jacket?

Yeah, it's still in the '90s and humid where I live here in China. Indy wouldn't be wearing that jacket on a bet; I don't really see anyone giving me too much guff for not having it. I'm thinking I'll buy some fullers earth from Todd when I get the other stuff and just dump it on the shirt and all. ...

Re: Halloween costume... how critical is the jacket?

Thanks for the input, all. I'd love to get a Federation or a Garrison, but $175 is just too rich for my blood, at least at the moment. And being female, I don't really see myself wearing the hat enough to make that kind of money (nice as it'll look having pride of place on a shelf somewhere in my ap...

Re: Another atrocious costume

but in one way are we not the crazy ones trying to always be as screen accurate as possible, even if that means big amout of cash on a nice fedora, whip or jacket.... The difference to me is that at least in the case of someone who opts to spend however much on a nicer, more screen accurate hat or ...

Re: Another atrocious costume

Good Lord. Some of these costumes, I don't even.... I mean, even if you're not really going for screen accuracy and want to throw something together, an Indy costume isn't that difficult to fake. That's half the point, isn't it, is that they're fairly "regular" clothes? Why should anyone h...

Re: Halloween costume... how critical is the jacket?

Hmm. On second thought, I could just skip the costume and put my money into a cloning machine, see about getting my hands on some jacket-less Harrison Ford. \:D/ Ahem. On a related but slightly tangental subject, the consensus seems to be that the licensed hats, even the one sold by Todd, are pretty...

Halloween costume... how critical is the jacket?

Hey all- I keep vacillating about Indy gear, so as per usual, Halloween's coming up and I've got nada. Well, except a pair of trousers that I can use in lieu of the more official options (which will probably work better anyway, being that I'm female, so guys' trousers aren't really cut for me). Anyw...

Re: Complements on the general gear

Riv, that stinks. It's too bad your mom can't just let you enjoy wearing what you want to wear. My own mom gets like that occasionally, even now, and I'm rapidly closing in on thirty! My stock answer these days is, "Fortunately for both of us, I'm old enough to wear what I want without it refle...

Re: WPG's W&G MKVII

Don't Call Me Junior over on this thread says his iPad was a perfect fit in his Mk VII. Vancouver Vic also said that he uses his to carry his iPad 2, so I'm probably safe. I actually tend to carry my iPhone along with me more often than my iPad, but it'd be nice if it could do both (though really, w...

Re: WPG's W&G MKVII

Awesome, wild_weasel, thanks for the tip about Todd's. I was considering getting a couple of other things from him, anyway, so maybe I'll just fold it all in. If he's shipping from California, that might get it here a little quicker (not that I should be complaining, since if we didn't have a DPO he...

Re: What do you put in your bag?

Did discover something rather interesting: the bag accommodates -- perfectly -- an iPad 2. Put the charging cord in one of the smaller pockets, and you're good to go. ;) This is actually what's prompting me to invest in an Indy bag; I need something that I can toss my iPad and a few other things in...

Re: WPG's W&G MKVII

Hi all. Been a while since I've posted here, but a couple of quick questions about the bag. I've been looking for a small bag to carry my iPad around in, and I think Indy's gas mask bag might just fit the bill. I don't mind spending a bit extra to get the WPG bag, but what's the consensus on the lea...
