Re: Why does indy wear a jacket?
He wears the jacket because 'IT'S AWSOME!' and a garment of substance is needed for that kind of 'Heroery' (yes, I just made that word up)

Re: Custom made vs. Off the rack...which has satisfied you more?
I have always worn OTR jackets and never had a problemb with any, but I recently got a custom raiders from wested and I love it. perfect fit and feel, but the only customizing was chest, back, and arm measurments and the rest is whatever they normally do. the only thing that even halfway bugs me is ...

Re: WOO HOO!!!
Well, I don't know why the rest of the world uses lefties and and Americans use right, But this is my theory. Since more than 3/4 of the whole population of the world is right handed, it only makes scence to pull your zipper with your right hand. The same hand most everybody does everything with. Bu...

WOO HOO!!!
Just got my custom raiders in novapelle from Wested this afternoon, super fast shipping! I couldn't be happier, It looks, feels, and fits great. The only thing (and it is a non-issue) is the zipper pull is on the left hand. Every thing else is perfect. I figured the left hand pull must be a British ...

Re: How hard is it to get a real or replica Webley in the USA?
ArkansasIndyFan, I'm here in the state too, Benton. You can get webleys fairly easily w/no special permits or anything like that. You just have to be 21 or older and no felonies. Just take your guns to the gun shows we have here all over the state all the time and you can trade them for other guns o...

Re: Holster and gun belt storage
I have several cowboy rigs, I also just roll the belts around the holsters with guns left in and lay them on shelves in the safe. But dont leave the ammo in because the 'green gunk' will cause the shells to stick in the cylinder after you shoot them and makes for extra cleaning. Shooting= :D cleanin...

Re: Jacket on the way!
That didn't sound good, is there somthing I should know about it? I ordered the raiders cut. I understand the novapelle to be an antique finish cowhide. I know that hide in the raiders isn't SA, but I like the look of it from the pics I have seen here and they said it was much more durable than the ...

Re: Jacket on the way!
Yes, I thought it was very fast also, they told me when I ordered it could take up to 21 days to complete, but could be sooner depending on how busy they were. I guess they were not to busy when I ordered. I got the antique brown novapelle , but other than my basic measurments and the name label I h...

Jacket on the way!
Just got an Email from Wested, and my custom raiders jacket is complete and has been shipped. I ordered on Oct.29 and it landed in New York this morning @6:00am says DHL's tracking website. I am impressed at how quickly they have made and shipped it, as I was expecting more of a wait. Now if DHL wou...

New Magnoli MK.VII
Just got my new MK.VII from Magnoli in the mail today. Bag Looks and feels great, heavy canvass feels durable. I fixed my own leather strap to it (not SA, but I made it the way I wanted it) and its ready to go just in time for modern gun deer season here. I will basicly be abusing the heck out of it...

It does look like an A-2 now. I'm lucky really cold weather isn't that much of a concern here in Arkansas. If it's freezing here, just wait a few minutes and it will be warm agian. LOL

Re: The great dawning
Yeah, I see how contagious it can be, hope my wife can stand it! She already puts up with more of my 'hobbies' than anyone could expect. The countless dollars I've spent on collecting a sizable catalog of movies and turning my basement into a movie theater complete with framed posters and memorabeli...

The great dawning
Hi guys, I've been looking at lots of jacket threads and I must tell that it was the search for the perfect coat that led me to COW. For years I have quested for 'the jacket', albeit locally. I always knew what it was that I required in a jacket but never have found 'the one'. My list was simple; br...

Re: Ripped my jacket. What now?
Yeah, I didn't think about the lining. Might need a tailor to make it clean. You also migt check if you have a Tandy Leather co. local, they are in every state and would be able to fix you right up. With a little sweet talk you could get it done right then, just act interested and they are usually m...

crushable
I was wondering if anyone had any input on the bailey-curtis pinch front indy fedora Crushable lite wool felt. I like a crushable hat better than a stiffy because I'm hard on hats, constantly getting them dirty, wet, loosing them on the river and cathing them downsteam somewhere. It's a hard life fo...

Re: Ripped my jacket. What now?
Probably the cheapest and best way to make sure it won't happen agian would be to get an awl and lockstitch it back on yourself. I have horses and have to repair tack (leather stuff like saddles, headstalls, and breast collars for those that don't know) all the time. it's easy to sew the lockstitch ...

Jacket lining
Hello all, New to the forum, 1st post. I just ordered a custom Wested raiders in novapelle and had a quick 'after the fact' question for those in the know. :-k I got the recomened cotton body/satin sleeves and was wondering if there was any insulation in the lining. Hoping there's not as I live in t...
