Behind the Scenes Shot

Hi all, long time no post for me.

Anyway, I was surfing today and came across this shot on http://www.aintitcool.com

Good closeup of the jacket.

MOD EDIT: large pic

It may be that y'all have seen this, but thought I'd post it just in case you hadn't.

Indy Luck

I was invited to a game of Texas Hold'em poker at a good friends house last night. It was bitterly cold here in Houston and so I decided to wear my Akubra IV and my Wested. The Wested went on the coat rack, but I decided to keep the lid on for the game. "I don't believe in magic, a lot of super...

Re: Does Indy have but one hat?

My two cents is that Indy IS a sentimental guy. Sure, he can be pretty rough and tough, but he's a softy at heart. Take TOD for instance. Indy was sympathetic to the bad fortune of the villagers from the loss of the sankara stone, but wasn't particularly moved to get involved, until the village elde...

Incredible!

What a fun read!

I've been around here just long enough to know the history of the hats, the characters, and the block. I must say, that was an impressive weave of fact and fiction, in a dead on spirit of Indy lore.

I got a Fed IV for Christmas (thanks Wifey and Mom), and have struggled with the way it looks on me ever since. I'm used to wearing a stingy brim, and the jump up to the open crown & wide brim is a bit much. Added to that, I have a long oval head and a V shaped face, so the hat just looks big. I...

Well, after taking y'all's advice, I kept the 57 and added a little foam to the sides inside the sweat band. I also set the hat on the top of a lamp to warm it up then wore it for a few hours. It seems to fit pretty good now. I hope that it will continue to shrink slightly so that I can remove the f...

F.W.I. Fedora While Driving So, here's a question for all the lid guru's out there. Do you wear your fedora while driving? I noticed your hair is cut short. I think once you let that grow out, you should have a better fit. IMO fedoras are best worn with shorter hair. That way you don't get hat hair and a custom sweatband fits you like a glove. If you're aiming for a Raiders look the bash still needs some work. I agree ...

Smart man not to bashed the hat until you are sure about the size. The hat is to small for you. I would send it back and get the smaller size. Before I discovered the Indy Jacket, I owned an A-2 style cow hide jacket that I bought in 1986. I loved this jacket but never loved a few things about it. I agree with Texan Scott, the underarm gussets help to prevent the "flying squirrel" effect, the satin sleeve lining makes it easier to slip your arms in and out with a long sleeve shirt on, and the hidden snap at the bottom of the storm flap will keep the flap from "flapping" ou...
