Re: Are there any State-Side dealers who can sell me a Fed I

Oh I know it! I put the bash in my Last Crusade Fed IV Deluxe, and I am getting a little ambitious on this next hat I think but I wanna' try a tight pinch teardrop anyways. Thanks TS. Here's the LC Fed IV Deluxe I've been wearing a while now. http://i699.photobucket.com/albums/vv352/boozee2/hat1.jpg...

*bang* Done.

Thanks folks. You're the best. :) Pix of the new lid to come. I am going to try a teardrop, perhaps even with a tight pinch

Are there any State-Side dealers who can sell me a Fed IV?

I have the fed Deluxe bashed to last Crusade, but I wanted to get a Moonstone Fed IV (not the deluxe) and was wondering if there was a sate-side dealer who could sell me one to save on wait time and shipping costs.

Anyone know of such a mythical place?

Re: just had my first, "that's not Indiana Jones' hat" moment

My man purse is what has become known as the 'Jack Bauer bag.' I bought mine before the season of 24 where this bag was Jack's handy bag-o-tricks for next to nothing on-line. Now you'll likely pay more for it these days. I went through a bunch of those cheap canvas messenger bags before I came acros...

Re: just had my first, "that's not Indiana Jones' hat" moment

I love these stories. I was happy I got a comment and the lady I work with is a good enough person, but the gangster comment threw me. I mean, I am way too nerdy for anyone to call me gangster, even if I had been toting a tommy gun! I have a Star Trek calendar in my cube, I read three books at a tim...

just had my first, "that's not Indiana Jones' hat" moment

I just got my Fed IV Deluxe hat last month. I bashed it LC style. At work, a co-worker has a black wool outback style, short crown, pinch front, hat with a braided leather strap around the brim and a small steel concho/bead on the rear brow. He and I were standing close together chatting when anothe...

Re: The Federation IV Display Page

Just got my Fed IV Deluxe. I bashed it using only my hands. No water or steam or anything. And my niece was kind enough to display it for me, though she has informed me she won't go out in public with me if I'm wearing it. Too bad for her. :P http://i699.photobucket.com/albums/vv352/boozee2/DSCN0344...

Fed, It's rabbit, what to do to make it more weather resista

I am picking up a Fed Deluxe here soon and was wondering what I needed to do (water proofing, etc) to keep the hat largely unmolested in inclement weather as I plan on wearing the hat a lot in every day life.

Thanks!

WWII US Military shirt sizes? How to read?

Forgiove me my stupidity, but... I am looking into buying an OD green WWII US military uniform shirt, and was wondering how to read the shirt sizes. They have sizes like 14.5 x 33. Is that just like regular/modern dress shirts? Neck: 14.5 x Sleeve 33"? http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y297/booz...

Darkening/aging leather - how?

How do I darken/age leather without making a mess that will rub off, or dirty clothing and furniture, or weaken the material?

This is not for a coat, BTW, this is for some leather trimming on a repro WWII shoulder bag.

Thanks!

Thanks for all the helpful replies everyone! I'm thinking Beaver, and if Steve has a block for the crusade look, then that's what I'll ask for.

Oh, and who's bink? If he lives in Indy, maybe I've run across him before.

AB Hat options, your thoughts?

OK, once I found out that AB hats has a layaway, I decided to get one of those wonderful creations. What are the pros/cons of the different types of hats Steve offers (i.e. pure beaver, nutria blend, rabbit blend, medium weight felt, light weight felt, etc.) excepting the look I want (I am thinking ...

Buying the right jacket. A quest of mine.

Baring a cost ceiling, what is the top two or three Indy Jackets availabe today? My wife promised me I could finally have an Indy Jacket and as long as it wasn't over $800 (OK, so there is a cost ceiling) she said I could have it. Though I wouldn't mind saving some $... I don't ned a jacket that wil...
