Re: Wal mart check out girl and my AB CS

This is kinda opposite of Beaverlid's encounter at WalMart . . . I was at Leesburg, FL bike rally last summer sporting my Penman Raider's and a hat vendor asked me if I wanted to buy the Real McCoy. Thinking he might have a used AB for sale, I said 'Sure, I'll take a look.' It was a wool Dorfman wit...

Gus, I upgraded my order for an 8ft 12pl Indy to include your latest and greatest improvements.

I can't wait to git crackin' and post some pics.

Here are the pictures, hope you like 'em (oh, and please excuse the stupid expression on my face - I'm not particularly fond of playing the dressman).
Marc, although you may not be particularly fond of playing the dressman, you do look impeccably attired in that suit and striking fedora.

Great pictures of you in your Camptown fedora and Indy gear. Did you wear the new lid out in the elements of Go Away Fay? We got hammered with 21" of rain here in Orange Park.

I heartily agree with gabrielle's JP suggestion . . . you'll get exactly what you want in a nice rabbit felt for $160 + $15 shipping charges.

Thank you Indiana Joyce for posting this thread.

As a beginner, I too have been looking for an affordable bullwhip. I took the expert advice tendered here and placed an order with Gus at Purewhips for an 8ft 12plait Indy.

As my Grandad used to say, "It's time to git crackin' boy!"

Thank you for the excellent demo Adam. I especially enjoyed the Snake Killer and Pyrocrack moves.

Incredible audio ... the cracks seemed to reverberate from the echos bouncing off the woods.

Get a hat from Bending Oak (Penman Hats) before he has a year wait! I have a feeling John's hats will be moving right up that list as soon as more of them get out there. My sentiments exactly - Listen to TheMechanic and get a hat from BendingOak! Check out his outstanding work on these threads: htt...

Senkusha, I'm on the other end of the scale at 24", which results in a tight fitting 7 5/8 or a slightly loose fitting 7 3/4 on my noggin.:D

One website describes this hat as "Hand Blocked in Texas by the Milano Hat Company ...."

Can someone tell me if hand blocked and hand made are synonymous in hat terminology?

Just curious - got my money on a Penman :D

I lost my entire hat collection, including my prized 22 yr old HJ, to Hurricane Charley in '04. Been wearing cheap straws ever since, but that will soon change when my new Penman's arrive. :D
