Re: Andy (wearp)'s New 6ft Bullwhip Pair

Thanks, Lauren, for posting the photos for me. I had the whips out this afternoon. They are super! After cracking primarily 8 and 10 foot whips, these 6 footers are tremendously fast. I almost couldn't believe how fast they are. I'm glad I went with 10" handles. The 2 extra inches really make a...

I would be interested, as long as it wasn't to far north in Michigan (driving distance, you know).

Cheers,

They sell leather jackets at your local post office? Awesome!

Now Who's being to literal, Fisk; I thought you understood that items shipped from overseas could be picked up at the Post Office. ;-)

Insofar as outerwear is concerned, I just, today, picked up my AeroUSA "barnstormer" flight coat from the Post Office. It's double breasted and belted, brown leather horsehide, with alpaca wool lining. When I forst tried it on I felt like the "Tin Man", because the leather is so ...

E6, Definately take care if you wash them. I've washed mine twice now and the length shrunk up both times in a cold water wash and hang dry. The waist, oddly enough, didn't appear to change at all, that I noticed. I'll not wash them again, as there is no hem left to alter longer if they shrank again...

I washed mine on wool cycle, cold water wash/rinse, with woolite, then hang dry. The trousers weren't ruined, but the length did shrink up almost 2 inches, resulting in me having to have them re-hemed. I don't think I'll wash them again, as I'm concerned about further shrinkage; there is only 1/2&qu...

WOW! is the first thing I have to say. What a wonderful hat this is, and I love it! This is my first custom made hat, and I'm suitably impressed. I've owned alot of different felt hats, from western style to fedoras. Beaver Brand, Stetson, Miller, even DP , as well as other brands, but ...

Jimmy and Genphideaux,

You've struck upon a great summertime Indy style hat. What a great idea, to meld a felt brim and straw crown together. I think it looks fantastic, IMHO. Jimmy, what does such a hat cost if I wished to order one?

I would message him through the Ebay message link and tell him to remove the link to your video. If he refuses then I would take it up with the Ebay Trust and Safety Division. They regulate seller practices.

Whipcraft in the movies

"Kangaroo", 1952, starring Maureen O'Hara, Peter Lawford, and Richard Boone. I recall seeing this movie on TV when I was a kid years ago. It was set in the Australian outback in the late 19th C., and had a pretty vicious bullwhip fight between Boone and Lawford toward the end of the movie....
