Re: Post your Adventurebilts here!

Airforceindy, what a cool bash. It's very sharp and defined. Hope you wear it out as much as I do!

Yeah, I can see how it is a bit big on me. But I do really like the way it looks.

If I did want a more SA look, what would I need to trim exactly? Just the brim? Or does the hat need to be reblocked to be smaller?

One bad thing, it really ***** when you're walking around by the lake with your AB on and that famous Chicago wind catches you. One hand is always securely on the hat to make sure it doesn't fly off. It would be bad for nearby people to see a young man cry at the expense of losing his hat. =o It's b...

Are taller crowns supposed to go better with longer or rounder faces? I remember reading posts on COW with differing opinions on the subject..

My Wonderful AB

Got it about a month ago, but haven't been able to really take any good pics until now. The other ones that exist are embarassing college party pictures. Not exactly Henry Jones Jr's style. I'll post some gear shots once I get back to my apartment from vacation. I have a lovely N.H. shirt and a Magn...

I did the felt thing that Chewy suggested. It really worked quite well, I got a couple pieces of brown felt from Michael's and it really helped. Hopefully it will form to my head a little bit too so I can eventually remove them. But thanks again for the advice!

One thing I fear if I DO go with the resize: even the "one downsize" by Optimo might make the hat too tight. It really is very close to a good fit, just a little bit loose.

I still am kinda curious as to how Optimo goes about resizing fedoras though...

Hat Resizing

Hello everyone. I feel like kind of an idiot. I just received my first AB today in the mail. The hat looks PHENOMENAL. Oh man, I knew I was going to be impressed but I am just bonkers with excitement. The only bad thing, I gave my measurement to Steve when I had considerably longer hair, and since I...

I'm really have a tough time deliberating. I've narrowed it down between the Wested Novapelle or the TN. I kind of want the TN because I love the look of the jacket, as well as the fact that it will have been made by the guy who made it for the movie. But the Wested is considerably cheaper which is ...

Guys, I'm thinking I'm gonna get a TN. This will be my first real Indy jacket, so I'm pretty excited. I've done a lot of research and it seems they will hold up best out of any jacket. Sure, it may not be SA to Raiders and many may not like the look of it, but ####, I LOVE IT. It really is a gorgeou...

TN Time Running Out?

No, this is not me asking how long it will take from when I order the jacket to when I receive it. Rather, I am wondering if anyone here knows how many of those 777 he has done? Are those who want the CS TN jacket running out of time quickly? Could anyone ballpark or give a very rough estimate as to...

Have you guys ever worn your copper novapelle with your gear? I would love to see how this looks. I was thinking about going for a "comic book" Indy costume, and this jacket seems perfect. Post some gear shots guys. What a lovely jacket! BTW - do you have to do something special to get the...

Best Wested for Fall/Spring

Hey all: I've been wearing leather bombers all my life. Its finally time to shell out for a Wested. I've done the research, I'm thinking about the brown lambskin as it seems to be lighter than some other Indy jackets I've seen. Do any of ya'll wear your jackets out in the fall/spring? I live in Chic...

How about the AB? I've noticed that one is a pretty good color and seems to be a bit longer than Todd's.

Any idea what the wait time / price is on AB shirts?

Shirt for taller folks?

Hey all: I've done quite a bit of research, I really wanted a Todd's shirt, but the one major gripe I've read in previous threads about them is how they are short for the taller folks out there. Seems this leads to frustrating instances of the shirt becoming untucked through everyday use. I'd say a ...

As soon as we find out about its functionality I guess we'll get a better id...

SkyMall Bullwhip

Hey all: First time poster, long time lurker. Hello all. Got my AB all ordered, already have a Wested Leather. I think 2 of the 3 biggest components of the classic outfit are out of the way. So I was on a flight from Chicago to Tucson and was reading the SkyMall magazine on the flight (I had already...
