Re: R.I.P Peter Botwright

Spent a fabulous afternoon with Peter at the barn some years back. He was as welcoming, gracious and entertaining with me as I'm sure he has been with so many of you. Absolutely honoured to meet him and to be personally measured for a new 'Raiders' by the man himself. So saddened to hear of his pass...

Like everyone else, I'm shocked and really saddened to hear this news. I spoke with Noel a couple of times years ago when ordering my gear items and he was an absolute gentleman and a total professional. The second time I spoke to him (months after the first occasion) he instantly knew my name and w...

Herbert Johnson inner logo unstuck: how can I reapply?

I've beaten this hat about too much in pursuit of the original Ford/Nadoolman 'Raiders' abuse and the inner oval patch has fallen out. Any ideas in terms of what I can use to stick it back in place? I guess stitching would be the best idea, BUT what was used in the first place (some kind of glue I g...

Hi Ken Not sure whether these boots can be re-soled, but I don't see why not. As to 'Arizona' Smith... I came up with the name many years ago when I made a short Indy spoof (on video), which included a two-car version of the truck chase, with stunts. How's your own project coming along? Best Martin

Sorry - no close matches on Indy trousers.

Agree with you that the 2nd pair look more like Alden's. I went for the first pair on the basis that they were Indy-esque, and not as an Alden replacement per se.

Indy Style Boots

Hello to all It's been some time since I last posted. Too long in fact. But I'm a regular 'lurker'. ;-) I recently discovered a really nice Indy-style boot (actually two) at - of all places - Marks and Spencer (I'm in the UK). Here are the links if anyone is interested... http://www.marksandspencer....

I highly recommend that you get measured when you visit, then get the jacket sent out if you can't go back to pick up in person. Make sure that Peter will be available to do the measurement. He's a lovely bloke, and there is surely nothing better than getting measured for your jacket in person by th...

I trust that Lee won't mind me posting, but UK gearheads should know that, in the light of this news, he may not be able to ship his excellent replica S&W to the UK. I'd advise anyone to double check with Lee and with UK customs before ordering. On a brighter note, I look forward to reading abou...

Pyro Most recent example was a gangland shooting in Birmingham a few days back in which two teenage girls died. While this maybe commonplace in the parts of the States, it dominates the news here. I believe it was a spree killing -- Hungerford Massacre -- in the 80s which kicked off the gun crackdow...

Folks

I'll take this as a general 'no interest' response.

There may, as other posts have suggested, be alternatives. Until we get any feedback, I'll not make any approaches to the company I had in mind.

They look pretty close. So do the Berkshire Chase Pantos (14KT).

Some better pics would, of course, settle it.

I'll keep looking about, and in the meantime hope to get some response to my Sticky.

Cheers for now

Possible BOIC Replica -- Your Opinions Wanted PLEASE READ

Folks The only source I have ever found for the BOICs has been online and it is FramesDirect. My local optometrists had never heard of them and didn't have them listed in any catalogues. So as far as getting any more information on BOIC going out of business, unless FramesDirect can provide a reason...

If anyone would care to work on the words for the main Guns page, incorporating Lee's material, I'll include it there.
