Thanks for the encouragement and photos, Holt. That looks great, as does your CS bash in the other thread. Are they the same hat? Is it that easy to switch bashes around?

Hi Tucolino: Thank you for that link -- it's formatted slightly differently, but it is indeed the same info. But also, ... Hi Aeris_Canon: I didn't know all the history of that tutorial, but I take it from your response that it was yours? And from a while ago, and you no longer practice all those pa...

new link for Raiders bash?

Hi everyone: I've finally got my first Indy fedora on its way (a Fed IV in the dark brown.) For some time, I've had this link bookmarked: http://adventure-realm.com/raidersbash.html to help once I finally got a hat ... but now that link isn't working. And neither are the links that are in the sticky...

I agree with all the others who are in favor of simplicity. I don't think that putting in anything about the felt adds to it at all. I also agree that having both lines start with "The" looks cluttered, but suggest that "The Henry" remain, and pair it with simply "Adventurbi...

AB color & bash comparison?

Hi folks: Can anyone post comparison pictures of Steve's grey vs. charcoal grey? I'm trying to determine what's going to give the most versatility (black suits, navy suits, black or camel overcoat, etc etc) Any opinions also welcome! As a matter of fact, if anyone would like to post pictures of the ...

questions about AB price increase

Hi everyone: I emailed Steve about this, but I'm sure he's swamped (and it possibly got caught by a spam filter). So I figured I'd ask all you knowledgeable folks, as the time deadline is coming up! I used the search feature, but about half a million hits came back, and I still am confused 'cause I ...

period-authentic hat etiquette from '30's - '50's

I posted this in the Do You Really? thread, but realized it might get more traffic if it was its own topic (btw, thanks Raider 57 for your response): I was aware of some of the rules regarding being indoors or outdoors, and it's certainly interesting reading it from a modern point of view. Could any...

I was aware of some of the rules regarding being indoors or outdoors, and it's certainly interesting reading it from a modern point of view. Could anyone who's posted above comment about what, if anything, would have been done differently "in period"? I'm working on a play that's set in th...

Well, it looks like Indy's only offering two colors of the strap at the moment, Dusty Brown and Black, unfortunately. I've got one of the older 3 color ones, which on page 1 of this thread is called Burgundy -- but it looks more like Dark Brown to me in real life. It's great. Like I said before, it'...

I've carried my previous Indy Magnoli satchel for a year now -- daily, everywhere, usually stuffed to the gills. Just got the new version in the mail, and it's definitely an improvement: heavier & more durable; no sharp edges on the strap rings to wear through too fast. Btw, Indy's strap is exce...
