I ordered my first one about a year ago. My fourth one will be here soon. There's nothing wrong with having more than one jacket. In fact, I think you should get another one to make ME feel better about having four. :D Wow 4 in a year! I wonder who has the most around here.... I plan on my Dark Bro...

Hmm... right. I forgot that you guys actually have water. :wink: The horsehide is great when it's cold here, and tolerable when it's not quite so cold, but in any case we don't have nearly as much humidity. Right now it's dry and windy in the high 60's and the horsehide is fine. Unless, of course, y...

I ordered my Horsehide in August of this year and I really like it. It's a chocolate brown as opposed to the more russet looking brown of the earlier horsehide I've seen on this site. It's quite heavy (very dense, not too thick) and it feels really stiff initially, but breaks in wonderfully. If you'...

I only own the Lamb and the Horsehide, and I would say that the Horse is significantly heavier than the Lamb. So much so that when you get used to wearing the horsehide the lamb feels like a windbreaker when you put it on again. The HH isn't so much thicker as it is much more dense than the lamb. I'...

80's fit != shorter sleeves
I've read a few post saying that the 80's fit request resulted in sleeves that were shorter than the specified length. Is this a common problem with this request?
I just ordered a jacket and asked for the 80's fit, so I'm a bit worried that I'll get sleeves that are too short.

In this case you should measure to the knuckle closest to your palm. This is a pretty good rule of ... thumb, and gives a good result if you don't have any specific sleeve length in mind. As far as I've experienced, Wested makes the sleeves exactly as long as you tell them and do not add any length ...

Pitfall, are any of your other jackets from Wested? I've never had this happen with any other leather jacket either and was rather surprised when the sleeves started to shorten on my Wested. I'm not sure why they do. Perhaps it has something to do with the absence of insulating material that normall...

Are the two-piece gussets any larger than the one piece kind, or are they just made of two pieces of leather that are half the size of the piece that makes the one piece gusset? (Hopefully that made sense.) I'm guessing that the two piece gussets are this way to fold up better when the arm isn't rai...

When you give the sleeve length make sure to add an inch or two to the actual length you want, as the sleeves will wrinkle up and shorten at least an inch after a few weeks of wear. When I ordered my first jacket I made the mistake of putting the actual length I wanted and ended up with sleeves that...

Two Piece Gussets
Hello, I'm a new member, but I've been reading this site for a while. I recently ordered a jacket and I was told that Wested is unable to add a two piece gusset and can only add a single one. Has anyone else had this problem with recent orders?
