Your right, I should have waited but it said non darkening and I believed them. I don't mind so much that its darker, that's the way it really is in the movie, plus from what I could tell, it needed some moisture. The leather is much more pliable and supple now. It really drank it in. I think it wil...

best dressing for leather

Hi guys, I bought a Belstaff Hero jacket (cost me a fortune) and was wondering what is the best leather dressing I could put on it that wont change the color or damage it in any way. I've heard Lezol is pretty good, anything else?

Thanks

I looked and I don't believe it's leather. All I know is that I don't see how this band will stretch to fit me head this much. I'm going to take it back tomorrow and get a 58 instead. Also, is rebashing it going to be a pain or no?

Shrink or stretch?

The Stedson Temple I bought is a 7/18, a 57. It's a little small on me but the hatter said it would stretch to fit me perfect but I'm not so sure. the 58 just fell on my head without any grab at all, the hatter said I was inbetween sizes. Will it stretch as he said or should I go get the 58 and shri...

Hi Guys, Last year I bought an Akubra fed deluxe and bashed it myself and it turned out great. I really like the hat but I must admit the felt is fairly thick. I like the hat , don't get me wrong but here's the thing, I'm not a big guy and the hat is fairly big so it kinda looks big on me. Today I w...

Dalexs your my hero! You saved my shirt. I used color removal and then made a pot of hot water with a touch of the pearl gray and it made it a nice stone color. I'm not sure how dark/bright to go. This poor shirt..first I bleached it, then I dyed it tan, didnt like that so i bleached it again, too much yellow, then I tried to cover the yellow with a shade of brown, too dark, so I use Rit color removal, now its white again.
I swear when I was done I could hear the shirt panting.........

After recieving my Wested (lamb) I watched raiders and it seems Indy's jacket was much thicker. Does anyone know what leather it was?
