jacket..
Your right, I should have waited but it said non darkening and I believed them. I don't mind so much that its darker, that's the way it really is in the movie, plus from what I could tell, it needed some moisture. The leather is much more pliable and supple now. It really drank it in. I think it wil...

Hi Guys, I need some expert advice on a leather jacket and who else to ask but the experts! I recently bought a Belstaff War of the Worlds jacket. Cost me a fortune, let me tell you. When I received the jacket witch was new, the leather was a light brown. I felt somewhat dry since I believe its two ...

Hi guys, I bought a Belstaff Hero jacket (cost me a fortune) and was wondering what is the best leather dressing I could put on it that wont change the color or damage it in any way. I've heard Lezol is pretty good, anything else?

I looked and I don't believe it's leather. All I know is that I don't see how this band will stretch to fit me head this much. I'm going to take it back tomorrow and get a 58 instead. Also, is rebashing it going to be a pain or no?

Shrink or stretch?
The Stedson Temple I bought is a 7/18, a 57. It's a little small on me but the hatter said it would stretch to fit me perfect but I'm not so sure. the 58 just fell on my head without any grab at all, the hatter said I was inbetween sizes. Will it stretch as he said or should I go get the 58 and shri...

Thoughts on Stetson temple
Hi Guys, Last year I bought an Akubra fed deluxe and bashed it myself and it turned out great. I really like the hat but I must admit the felt is fairly thick. I like the hat , don't get me wrong but here's the thing, I'm not a big guy and the hat is fairly big so it kinda looks big on me. Today I w...

Thanks all, Well, here's what I did. I took some kitty litter and crushed it to a powder on my basement floor with a cinder block and used that and it worked great! I'm very dusty now. I didn't want to go as super clean Indy, it looks kinda generic, even though dirty Indy may keep the dolls away but...

Dalexs your my hero
Dalexs your my hero! You saved my shirt. I used color removal and then made a pot of hot water with a touch of the pearl gray and it made it a nice stone color. I'm not sure how dark/bright to go. Some secenes his shirt looks very bright and others not so, but I settled for a nice medium. Thanks Geo...

This poor shirt..first I bleached it, then I dyed it tan, didnt like that so i bleached it again, too much yellow, then I tried to cover the yellow with a shade of brown, too dark, so I use Rit color removal, now its white again.
I swear when I was done I could hear the shirt panting.........

How to ruin a safari shirt
BLEACH ! I've ruined two safari shirts trying to bleach them to make them lighter, both turned yellow. After closely watching Raiders I'm convinced Indy'd shirt was more light grey than tan. Oh well, I still have one thats a the best one and thats the one I'll wear. George PS. dont use TAN Rit dye i...

I started to search/buy things around the first of October. Its well documented that all the movie jackets were lamb. Yes. In the archives here and on the main site. Basically, next to very little homework would have given the answer. Was the raiders jacket horsehide or cow?
After recieving my Wested (lamb) I watched raiders and it seems Indy's jacket was much thicker. Does anyone know what leather it was? It's my opinion that it could not have been lamb or goat because it just would not have stood up to the beating of making the movie. Plus, it just looks thicker. Any ...
